Visited The New Inn once again this weekend. It's always fantastic, the staff are lovely and the food top notch. We'd recommend visiting Hurstpierpoint just the go to this pub.

Lovely little pub. On the main road so no parking outside. A small dining room. A different menu to a lot. Very tasty. The local beer was great. Dogs are allowed in. Staff were friendly ,but a bit stressed, as stretched

We attended a lunchtime wake at the New Inn with 25 friends and our two dogs. The pre ordered food was very good and service by the pub staff was excellent. This was the third time we used the New Inn for this type of occasion and the pub has never let us down.

This is an excellent Sussex pub which is a cut above your average with a more interesting than usual food and drinks (especially wines and gins) list, and the food was honestly outstanding across all of our starter, main, dessert and coffee options. Service was attentive, personable and relaxed and they were extremely facilitating for the 3 Vizsla dogs we had with us too. Highly recommended and worth a travel to.

Had a lovely lunch today. The pub was extremely clean and the staff were lovely. We all enjoyed our meal and were so pleased that the vegetarian options for two of us were fantastic! So pleased to hear that next time we visit we can bring our lovely dog.

Amazing meal. Bit of a wait for the food but it was worth waiting for. The burger was melt in the mouth. Mayo with bone marrow was simply divine. Chips perfect. Highly recommended and will be revisiting imminently.

We had a family birthday luncheon on Friday. Nice small pub / restaurant establishment. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating as we had a large dog with us and a toddler. We had a table in restaurant part which was very nice and warm as the fire place was on which made the whole dining experience more special and enjoyable for everyone .Menu had a limited choice , especially deserts choice was not the greatest . We didn’t have any starters, just main and desert .The main menu , despite being limited in choices was rather good. I had fish and chips and it was delicious!!! The portion size of my dish was just right. For my desert I had sticky toffee sundae which which was alright but no fireworks here unfortunately.Overall , very good dinning experience . Staff very attentive during the meal . Food very nice .Very good atmosphere.

A super Sunday roast beef lunch with excellent beef and vegetables. Good food and beer and wine, and our server Charlie was great. The pub was very busy but we lunched in good time with no delays. A lesson to other pubs to get organised.Maybe for dessert I would like to see a fruit crumble or apple pie with custard of course. The pub is reason on its own to move to Hurstpierpoint!!

Nice old pub with large garden. Service was a bit slow, and chips portion not the largest. However, very dog friendly and even brought some dog biscuits and water to the table. I would say it is the best pub to go to in Hurstpierpoint.

We joined the New Inn for a 'taste of Britain' (four courses with wines matched to each course) event as part of the Hurstpierpoint festival. The room assigned to the event was a little too small and cramped for my liking - a thought echoed by at least a few other diners. There was also quite a lot of noise that came from the bar area and other side of the bar which made it difficult to hear what we were being told about the wine and the food at times. Those fairly minor points aside, the food was tasty, and delicious and paired well with the tipples selected to go with the food. It was also excellently presented.I won't lie, I was slightly sceptical and worried about the menu (please see one of the pictures for the full menu and descriptions) as I wouldn't ever normally choose most of the dishes on it, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed each of them. On top of that, there was a surprise additional final course of doughnuts with strawberry and elderflower jam which were sublime! All in all we enjoyed our night, we had some fun conversations and an enjoyable time, so I'd definitely consider a similar event again in the future.
