The Old Mill in Mid Sussex

Absolutely delicious Sunday roasts (lamb and pork) We polished the lot. Will come again, and will recommend. Compliments to the chef.

Personally didn't rate the food too highly. My husband found his beef very tough. I was very disappointed there was no chicken left at 3 o'clock in the day. There wasn't a great choice for me as I don't eat meat.I thought a quiche, salad or curry dish would be available. No turkey, just one nut vegetarian option. Chips not great either.The pub was very nice. The staff helpful and 3 of our party were happy with the lunch.

Great Harveys pub a short distance from East Grinstead High Street. Good food and well kept Harveys ales. Old mill outside and decent garden space.

My very good friend had lunch at Old Dunnings Mill with her daughter today, Sunday. They ordered roast pork and roast chicken with gluten free gravy. The pork was inedible and my friend sent it back. The waitress said she would tell the chef but nothing more was said and there were no deductions from the bill. Also the gravy was very thick and globular and very disappointing. My friend's daughter order Roast chicken which came as bits and pieces rather than sliced roast chicken which her daughter did not finish. I was shocked to hear about this as I have never had a bad meal at Dunnings Mill and indeed I have written many rave reviews in the past and it's probably one of my favourite restaurants in East Grinstead. This is all very disappointing. What has happened? Has there been a change somehow? I should add that my friend was charged the full price for the meal and no-one came to apologise about the quality of the meat or even offered a deduction to the bill. Great Traditional Pub with a fantastic food menu & wonderful service. The team were friendly & helpful, but Joan was absolutely outstanding 👏.The Sauage & Mash and the Steak & Ale Pie are delicious. The portions are large & filling. But everything was enhanced by the fantastic friendly service from Joan. Thank you 😊

Friendly staff. Bit pricey. BUT very limited space to eat if you have your dog's with you _ only a couple small tables in small bar area with no windows ! Unless you sit outside in the cold in the winter ? In this day you'd have thought more dog friendly tables ?

Very nice pub with a traditional feel.The food is reasonably priced at between £12 and £15 for a main, but for that price you get American sized portions.The drinks are an average kind of price aswell depending on what you get. It's a Harveys pub so you get IPAs, beers and ciders with a selection of soft drinks.In all it's a good place for a Sunday lunch. 😄

Lovely quality food, it was a quiz night on a Monday, which was rather busy but still had undercover heated seating outside. Reasonable and didn't wait too long for nibbly bits. Would come back.

We had a wonderful lunch here friends and family. The the steak and mash pie was absolutely gorgeous, best I've had for a very long time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back again.

We went at lunch time. Food took over an hour to arrive and when it did it was acceptable but ordinary "pub grub". I've eaten here a few times but feel that the prices are creeping up to the point where it no longer feels like good value.£7 for four chicken wings£12 for a very ordinary burger (extra £2 for blue cheese!)Please get better by innovating I realise we are coming out of a pandemic and pubs have had a tough time, but so have pub customers. Cutting corners and driving up prices will eventually send customers away.
