Smashing little cafe, really enjoyed my visit here, the triple breakfast sandwich is to die for and banana milkshake was divine. Really cannot recommend this place enough.

A truly wonderful menu full of veggie and vegan options, as well as meat options. I had a delicious mix of nachos/Buddha bowl with chickpea and tomato curry, veggies, fresh dill, houmous, sour cream and an iced coffee. We ate outside at the front and watched the world go by.The location is great for access to hassocks train station as its less than 100m from the south bound platform.I believe there is a delightful garden at the back too, but we didn't explore that. I can highly recommend the purple carrot as a great place to stop for a drink, a snack or a full meal. They are fully licensed for alcohol too.Can't wait to go back!

The best full English I've ever had. My sister had a shakshuka for the first time outside of Israel and it was amazing. Very generous portions. Will definitely visit again.

Just enjoyed another fantastic meal, with friends, at the Purple 🥕. Delicious smoky BBQ style jackfruit wrap followed by homemade warm Marmalade Cake & Vanilla Ice cream. Absolutely delicious 😊, as always.

i couldnt comment on the food as we didn't get a chance to eat it. The gentleman and young girl were plesent on entry and took our order. 3 coffees, 3 slices of cheese cake. All already prepared with exception of making 3 coffees. After over 30 minutes of waiting with no interaction and hearing the people next to us had waited over 1hr with the same experience, we decided to leave and find somewhere else.There was a small selection of cakes and 3 people working, but speed and service was clearly not managed to perform as a cafe would need to for service. A very dissapointing visit.

We went to the outdoor seating area of The Purple Carrot with 2 friends this evening for our first meal and social drinks post-lockdown. The owner has gone to considerable effort to make it covid safe with plastic partitions, which gave our group a feeling of cosiness on a cold night. The pretty lights and heaters under the gazebo add to the ambience and we enjoyed wine, a delicious local cheese platter and halloumi burgers. Thankyou for a lovely evening 💕 🍷 🧀
