The Railway in Mid Sussex

Burgess Hill is a bit shabby, but this pub is a beacon of joy. You must visit, friends :)Plato once said, “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.” but that has absolutely nothing to do with this review, I just wanted to share it.

Bright and airey bar and outside lounge makes waiting for a train with a good range of drinks to choose from. Food looks good but not eaten there personally. Nice to see premium fevertree mixers.

Since moving to Burgess Hill, we have become ‘regulars’ at this pub. We absolutely love it here!!It’s the cheapest pub in the area, but the food is absolutely amazing. Every meal we’ve had is the perfect pub food. And the staff are always so friendly!! Absolutely love this place

good dishes and the truth is that they put a lot. Typical English food fish and potatoes, meat, chicken with sauce and mixed dishes. They have Kids menu and for celiacsThe place is big and you can eat at any time, which is appreciated since other places usually close at 2:30 p.m.They have a terrace that is good in good weather.

Fantastic pub in the middle of Sussex, stopped off for lunch and was pleased with how good the food and beer was. Steve and the team were really friendly and gave great service. Will be back again soon.

Fantastic Monday Lunch treat. Really helpful, friendly staff. Food was excellent. Intrigued to see a quiz every Tuesday? Might have to give it a go!

Called in for lunch today, lovely interior and very friendly efficient staff. Food was lovely, piping hot and my fish & chips (the special one) was one of the best I've had! Can't fault it.

Great service and great food . I would like to say a big thanks to Jessica who was fantastic.

Very nice looking pub, clean and spacious. However it took around 20 minutes to get our drinks and 30 for our food even though it was very quiet…went to the bar but no one was there.When someone appeared they were friendly though.We ordered two burgers, asked for one with sweet potato fries and paid the extra but they had ran out and they did not refund us for this.The food was alright, but I have to say, it wasn’t a great experience.

It's a lovely looking and spacious pub but I did have to wait a bit longer than I hoped to be served my drink considering it didn't look to be busy. The staff were very pleasant though so props to them.I ordered a beef burger with southern fried chicken and both patties felt like they had been heated up in the microwave and were really hot compared to the rest of the food so I was disappointed by that.
