The Talbot in Mid Sussex

Unfortunately when the roast dinner was brought out the kale, red cabbage and Yorkshire pudding were all cold. They did replace it when told with fresh hot plates of food. Very busy service but no excuse for cold food.

Went to The Talbot for the first time yesterday with my wife. Both had a lamb shank followed by sticky toffee pudding. Excellent food and nice atmosphere. We will return.

Stunning and perfect for a special 50th. The fairy lights were lovely and the staff were friendly. Loved the food too. Thank you.

Nice cozy pub in Cuckfield. Good pint of Long Man real ale and excellent beef sandwich.

Constantly the best pub in mid Sussex.....Great atmosphere.....roaring fire....pet friendly ,every single visit is like coming home......love it.

Hake looked good as did the chicken burger , we had turkey with stuffing wrapped in bacon, it was too well cooked, couldn't cut into some parts of the meat, the veg is new way of cooking with minimum cooking , l prefer it cooked a wee bit longer..

Definitely recommend this pub. On the high street in. Cuckfield and round the corner from the car park. It has a nice seating area outside and inside the pub is a little gem. Eaten here on many occasions and never been disappointed. I would say the pizzas burgers are excellent and a special mention for the tuna melt...outstanding. The staff are really friendly and if the bar is full it overflows into what is/was the restaurant pre COVID. Oh and it's also dog friendly. Nice thing in the bar it gets very Christmassy towards the time and they are doing Christmas lunch this year. I have recommended people try this pub out and got many thanks for it

Lovely dining experience, very attentive staff, delicious food (we had a 'normal' burger, a vegan burger to die for and the chocolate tart... Out of this world), all around good vibes. And they have excellent takeaway pizza!

Lovely pub with friendly staff and great service. Food is delicious, filling and the menu provides pub classics as well as other different options which are worth trying.

Bit annoying walking past the toilets to get to the restaurant but my god does the food make up for it. Limited menu but they have definitely gone for quality over quantity. Fair prices, 8/10 customer service and will definitely be going again.
