Town fish and chips in Mid Sussex

Absolutely disgusting to their employees. New employee got treated passive aggressively, physically moved and the owner refused to teach this young girl anything about the job. Horrid to her and personally never going again. Feel terrible for this girl

Completely rude to employees told one of there employees they will never be successfully within an hour of working after not even teaching them and left them to figure everything out for themselves. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND

Treat young staff appallingly. Sent a 16yo home crying after 1hr in the job. Will never go there myself.

At the Turkish next door. Excellent food. Lovely staff.

We got there just before closing (pushing it a bit really). But the staff were very accommodating and friendly and our order of 4 cod and chips, sausage and chips and other sides were all freshly cooked. The fish was lovely, the batter crispy and not oily. The chips were also very nicely done. All in all very well prepared food.

I have had a bad experience buying from this place. In total I have bought 3 times from this place and with every passing time I have felt that new problem is developing each time. The second time I bought I found their packaging of food too bad compared to first time. The third time I shopped there were multiple issues, packaging issue existed as earlier, the chips given werent fresh and crunchy and the non acceptance of card for payments less than 5 pounds. On top of this they fail to admit that they may have uodated policies as I have already shopped twice earlier for same order paying by card and they weren't ready to trust.There are better places to shop for fish and chips like Fishers. Won't ship from here again.

Had some really great fish and chips the other evening. The best we’ve had from a f&c shop in a long time. Beautiful moist white flaky fish in a delicious light and crispy batter with the best chips. Our new favourite takeaway.

Terrible atmosphere due to the miserable old man behind the counter shouting at the very friendly and polite young girl who served me. At least twice he scolded her for things he didn’t actually ask her to do!! it was very busy, but she remained friendly at all times so why couldn’t the owner!? The food has potential, but the last 2 times I’ve ordered large cod I’ve received a small but charged for a large!! And the chips were very greasy....I won’t be back!

Simply quality fish&chips. Good selection of other foods available. Fair prices and fast service.
