Velvety Ginger in Mid Sussex

Ordered this to the hotel we stayed at and was delivered as stated on time which ment the food was warm. However the Bhuna was bland and tasteless. Not even a pinch of spice. I thought i had covid because i tasted the roghan josh next and it was the same result. Forget spice, this dish had never experienced salt!Then the korma was last and thank goodness i ate it last as ut was sweeter than Solly's icecream! It tasted like dessert.Good point, the meat was tender, the naan was soft and warm.Improvements, either discover what garam masala, red chili powder and salt are used for, or supply it with the delivery.

Second time ordering. Jalfrezi to die for. Everything perfect. After long wait first time we pre ordered on line for time we wanted this week.came dead on the dot, best takeaway ever. Wont be going elsewhere!

Poor experience. The only positive was quick delivery, one of order side dishes was incorrect, one of the main dishes was completely tasteless, and another main dish that was supposed to be a mild curry ended up being spicy somehow! Also, cold breads. Would not recommend Velvety Ginger to anyone - it is long way from hitting the standards of any of the Lingfield and Turners Hill curry houses. We called shortly afterwards to give feedback, and the owner was incredibly defensive and aggressive and seemed to not want to take our comments on board which was bad customer service. Wont be returning.

Chicken tikka masala, poppadoms and sagaloo were good, rest was average. Mixed vegetable curry was watery and tasted awful. Rice over cooked and mushy. Will not be using again I'm afraid.

Used for the first time last night and would not order from there again. Chicken Korma was nothing like any I'd eaten before. Pink coloured sweet sauce, slightly curdled texture. Dry, stringy textured cubes of chicken with no flavour, as though they were added to a precooked sauce. The pashwari nan however was delicious.

Extremely disappointed, although the food was tasty unfortunately I discovered two hairs within my curry. I called the restaurant and asked for a replacement which I received 30 minutes later. To my amazement the colleague from the restaurant insisted that the hairs were not from his kitchen and basically argued with me in my own house. I am a paying customer and don't expect to have to justify myself when my food is not satisfactory. Very upset with the customer service I received. In future just apologise and leave at that.

Unfortunalty we were left waiting for 35 mins after the time the order was supposed to be ready for collection. We were then read back the order and 3 of the items were wrong. They then said they would change the wrong dishes and then after 1 hour since ordering we got the food, got home and the Lamb Bhuba was missing and instead we had a lamb Korma. It was only a small order for 4 people so very disappointing as we were left waiting and the dishes were still wrong. The lamb was not tender at all and the food was cold. Not going here again.

Saturday night delivery, all dishes tasted great!We will be using again. Had mixed tandoori kebab, lamb Rogan Josh (risky for a for first order but big succulent chunks, winner!), chicken jalfrezi (please try of heat), saag panneer, bindi bhaji, peshwari naan.

Shocking management, they are rude to you over the phone, when it's them that made the error and missed out a curry from your order, and offer new curry but have to collect your self as the don't want to waste petrol.Then they hang up on you. Shocking don't use.
