I first went to this pub 2 years ago and it was brilliant then I recently went a couple of weeks ago and it’s still brilliant the bar staff and the ppl are very friendly I would highly recommend giving this fantastic pub a visit

We chose this pub to meet together as a family to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I can honestly say I had probably the worst meal ever. I ordered roast beef. When it first arrived after some considerable wait, the vegetables were cold. I informed the waitress and she apologised and took it back to the kitchen. When my second meal arrived the beef was so tough, and the Yorkshire pudding was rock solid.Various family members ordered other meals, there were hardly any chips on the children's plates. The knives and forks were very flimsy.Really disappointed. I did mention to the waitress that if a refund was forthcoming I would be grateful, but when we left she just averted her gaze.

Will not go again. Moderate cost . As the name says everything was burnt and tasted like burnt oak wood. We ordered cowboy burger, chicken breast, lasagne and kids meal. Only food that we were able to pass through our throat was lasagna. Our fork was broken in an attempt to cut chicken breast and burger patty was like rubber slippers (flip flops). Family next to us had same and raised concerns. Nothing much we can do when we go for exploring local foods. I felt the disappointment of Colombus (at least he landed in proper land) . Definitely needs lots of improvement. Good place for quick drink and chips. Tesco is right opposite, grab some food there.

The service was horrendous as well as the food. We were sat waiting for our food for 2 1/2 hours for it to come out stone cold and missing parts of the meal. The glasses for the drinks were covered in lipstick! What a waste of money and time.

Popped in for a couple of beers as not from the area. Very welcoming, friendly lass behind the bar advising on best value. Was quiet but comfortable & very clean. I did hear staff going round asking (regulars) if tv was too loud, just right etc.Good, tasty, cold lager!

Totally different atmosphere..... had lovely Christmas meal on Tuesday Thank you to the Chef. well worth the money .. staff friendly ..... please to hear they cook everyday now from 12.....

Decent local pub with very reasonably priced food! Drinks are well priced and to top it off they show all the sports when on and have a nice patio area to one side and grassed seating are to the other. Can’t be beaten for value
