Fayre and Square in Milton Keynes

We went on bank holiday Monday for lunch for six. We booked ahead so there was no problem with getting a table but the restaurant was crazy busy. Our server was very friendly and helpful, even suggesting a dish when we found the vegetarian options rather limited, but the food took a very long time to be prepared. But when it arrived it was pretty good, but quite expensive for what you get.The venue allows dogs inside but when the dogs on a neighbouring table got a bit boisterous staff didn't speak to the owners to ask them to control them, which made the children a bit worried and may have affected other diners as it was quite noisy.There are some tables outside with good views of the lake but most inside tables don't benefit from the view.

3 members of staff working a very busy Thursday. We had to go and get our own drinks and waited ages for our food order to be taken. The poor young waitress was rushed off her feet. My food came out and was inedible. The chicken was burnt. Not a little bit burnt. It was black. I pointed it out to our lovely waitress and she was horrified and offered to remove it from the bill which was nice of her. Manager lady that was working had was aware of the situation but didnt take the time to come over. Found her very unprofessional. Definitely won't be coming back and telling all my friends to avoid like the plague.

Updated - Excellent service and very friendly staff. Lovely view across Willen Lake from the comfort of the warm bar and a very comfortable arm chair in front of the fireplace. Ultimate Hot Chocolate was to die for.

We were a party of 16. And despite it being packed on a Saturday at 5.30 pm, the service was good.We had Jakub as our waitor. He did superbly for a young person serving our entire table. Very attentive.Service was a little slow but only because all food came out together.No mistakes were made with our order.Food good, a classic menu with a few twists.

If you can, sit by the window to get the lake view! It was a really cold day and it was warm and cosy inside. The staff is very friendly. I recommend the Pink Spritz.

Packed with cold walkers bit we got a table. The waitress immediately realised our grandson had special needs and got his dinner long before ours which was just fantastic (thank you). I had steak and ale pie and strongly recommend it. My wife had curry which was OK.Thanks again to our wonderful waitress.Kev

We had a lovely lunch at the Lake Side restaurant at Willen Lake yesterday. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and the prices were very good to......... I would highly recommend visiting here.

Fab family meal. Friendly, helpful staff during a very busy time. The vegetarian Smoky Bean Chilli with house-fried tortilla chips was really excellent!

Beautiful place for drink & having great view of the lake. Attentive staff, safety measures, cleanliness, nice choice of food to eat n variety of cask beers. Just love it
