Hungry Horse in Milton Keynes

We visited for my wife's birthday. It's a lovely spot right next to Furzton Lake. The building is quite unusual with a big pond and some canal just outside. There is space to eat outside and a playground for the kids.We sat inside at a booth. We are a family of 5 and there was plenty of space. We were there around 5pm on a Thursday evening and we got a seat straight away.You either order on the app (Greene King) or at the bar. We used the app which was all pretty straight forward although it didn't like Google pay for some reason.The menu is wide ranging with lots of options. Two sizes of kids meals for smaller and larger appetites. Lot of choice on the adult menu too. I had a big plate special and it was essentially two meals in one. The ordinary sized plates will be more than enough for most people.The service was quick and food, the food was hit and we were all stuffed. We shared a candymania between all 5 of us and it was more than than enough.There are daily offers on the menu so check those out. All in all dinner was £56 which is an absolute steal for 5. We all had a main and a drink as wel as the desert.After that we walked round Furzton Lake. Highly recommend for families in particular.

Absolutely c***p, filthy tables, dirty plates not collected on table next to us for whole of our visit,Could not order anything less than a pint of coke etc, and charged us £2-80 for it, so much for encouraging don't drink drive etc. Most people shared baby wipes to clean the sticky mess off the top of the tables, when staff did collect anything, they dropped items on the floor, didn't stop to pick it up, but it blended in with the other rubbish on the floor. They can't say they were busy as at least the food and drinks were quite promptly delivered by one of quite a few staff that were on duty, food was reasonable

Really nice place, Lovely warm decor and the exterior of the building is amazing especially at night time with all the lights.Food is really good, Great portions. Staff have always been very polite and always on hand which makes a restaurant.

Nice pub. Good food and outdoor seating. Highly recommended.

Beautiful breakfast served all day long, there was that much the lovely lady boxed it up for us to take home..

Usual premier Inn delight and hospitality. Although this Inn is 25 years old it still has its picturesque charm with the lake and wildlife all be it some of the facilities are tired and need of renovation. Have no reason not to come here again.

Took the family here for a meal. Very good value. Fast service. Friendly staff. My meal was very tasty. Only criticism would be is that it was too spicy. Had the chicken and waffles. Unfortunately my partner had a small piece of plastic in her dessert that she unknowingly bit into. It did hurt her gum. We were compensated for all desserts and an apology was given. We were also offered a free drink. But we declined as we needed to get going. Will be back again.

Service was very fast and the staff seems happy.The restaurant is clean and tidy and if you leave your 🍺 to go for a cigarette or the loo don’t expect it to be there when you get back.They clean the tables with some serious speed here.Breakfast is served from 96.30 until 10.00hrs. Such a beautifully located pub! With a water fountain in the middle, so nice when sitting outside for food. Food was good as like any hungry horse… Service was fast and the staff were lovely! Toilets could be kept cleaner, but other than that it’s great!
