Old Beams in Milton Keynes

A lovely range of food from meat eaters to vegan. Large and small portions. Willing to swap potato options with no hassles. Busy but still plenty of spaces, tables inside and out. Attentive service and enough time between courses to allow some digestion. I am happy to say I will go back again.

Family lunch with my mum and boyfriend. Richard, our waiter was attentive/Superb. Great atmosphere, they had a wedding reception there, while we were there. The restaurant was quite busy.

Excellent Sunday roast dinner with some decent roast potatoes! Great service too. I was slightly put out about having to pay £1 for extra gravy, but it was the proper stuff.Prices perfectly reasonable. Restaurant was full and was quite noisy.Will be visiting again.

On 25.1.22 Burns evening, was amazing I went for set menu with 13 friends so total 14 in party. The Old Beams team and Richard manager was amazing as were his team on the day and both front of house and kitchen team were fantastic. We piped in the haggis and my friend was allowed to address the haggis. We were allowed to out tartan runner on table and it was so lovely. I was very happy and so were all my friends. We go to the Old Beams a lot and food is always excellent.

Had a gammon roast and it was blooming lovely. I love the look of the old beams anyway, lovely look and feel In the pub. Allows dogs in the bar and has the same menu to choose from. The chair / tiny table arrangement wasn't ideal for a roast but we made it work and it was great to catch up with friends over a few pepsi max and food. Highly recommend an extra side of roast potatoes... Yum!!

Finally made it to a pub roast! The Old Beams team have adapted very well with all the changes. The garden area which is lovely and spacious can easily accommodate for 100-150 people.But seeing as the snow had just graced us with its presences we opted for indoors. member of staff called Hugo who was very efficient and helpful looked after us whilst we went through the menu and made our selections.I must admit the photos won’t do the Christmas decor any justice… the ambience and festive vibe here was amazing!We would like to say a massive thank you to all members of the old beams team especially during these challenging circumstances for making our spontaneous evening out enjoyable!

Celebrated an early Christmas gathering with a relative. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Had Roast Turkey with all the trimmings. Carrots and brussel sprouts were however rather under cooked. Sweets were much appreciated. Beer and other beverages were very good

Really enjoyed our family meal. Great options on the regular menu and some of us chose from the specials, which were notably fresh and distinctive. Both menus had good gluten free options.Service was great too, as was the environment of the pub itself.

Love this place. Service is so friendly and prompt. These guys really care. The outside and inside is really nice laid out. The food is good. Sometimes a little salty but nice choice of food. They have a kids menu too.

Decent Sunday Roast and really great service. I'm deducting 1 star as I feel it was a bit over priced. We paid £60 for roast dinner and a couple of pints each.It was tasty and the portions were decent. Our waitress (Kate, I think) was brilliant.Big outdoor space too.Lots of vegan mains available (no vegan roasts).Will be visiting again.
