Took my Nan here for lunch today and it was lovely. Warm cosy pub, lady behind the bar was friendly and we had two paninis from the specials menu which were great- really tasty food. Great value and would highly recommend! Will be back soon!

Very friendly people and you are welcomed with a smile even if you don't drink beverages you can order a tea or coffee well worth a visit.

Stopped of along journey to Milton Keynes. Had very reasonably priced meal and drinks. Staff very cordial and helpful. Looked like local ladies dropping in for coffees were regulars. Would recommend.

Service here is always friendly and welcoming. They are very accomodating if you need an area for a bigger group. The food is great value and delicious. We love it here and visit regularly.

We visited the rose and Crown after the circus in Newport pagnel, and as soon as we walked in we was greeted with a smile from the lovely young girl behind the bar. As we sat down we was offered drinks and given some menus. When we ordered we was told it would take about 10 to 15 minutes witch was great, although it wasn't even 10 minutes. When the food arrived, it was amazingly presented and brought out to us by the landlord and landlady who couldn't have been more happy to deliver the food to our tables. For the 4 of us it didn't cost us much at all, and the landlord was great with my son, and even gave him a free fruit shoot. I would really encourage people to go here as the whole atmosphere is just simply amazing.

Nice pub with friendly owners. Clean and well-decorated inside with great photos of local history. We had a quarter pounder burger and a veggie burger, a pint of Eagle IPA and a large glass of Melbec. The wine was really nice and the beer was spot on. The food was well-prepared and came quickly, though the menu is a little limited to sandwiches, burgers, pizza and jacket potatoes. The prices are 100% fair but the quality of food, especially the veggie burger, was basic. For a £6 main meal, you wouldn't complain.
