Shanghai House in Milton Keynes

It’s a pretty good Chinese restaurant it’s the best in mk! The food are amazing I would recommend!

Unfresh food. Yesterday, 28/09/21 I ordered from Shanghai house and my stomach hurt all night, I vomited in the end. Food poisoning .

Chicken was pre cooked and you could taste it in the curry and the chips weren't chips but more like huge wedges and these had old used pre cooked chips in the bag and again you could taste it. Wasnt impressed at all..

This place is a must for anyone who loves Chinese food. Massive portions and great quality tasting food. Anyone who says otherwise isn't telling the truth! Highly recommended and we'll be back again soon.

I’ve tried a few takeaways around MK and this is has always been one of my favourites! I notice some bad reviews here but I honestly think that sometimes mistakes occur when they are so busy (which happens so often because of how good their food is!)The ‘new’ owner is really sweet and he’s willing to cook up or custom any dish, which is more than what most takeaways would do. I’ve had a few chats with him and he’s very friendly and always see him working hard to get everyone’s orders perfect! Also the woman on the phone is really nice and understanding, especially because we have to have a few gluten free dishes, and she always makes sure it is safe for my kid to eat.Guys I kid you not the best food and service is here. Love it and I hope this business keeps up their game!

The best Chinese takeaway ever. No other Chinese Takeaway I've been has ever held a torch to it. A local gem with great food and a lovely family feel.

Best Chinese ever!! I’m ever so glad to have gone there; literally it’s worth every single penny! Amazing taste won’t leave you upset and also great portions of food ❤️ I can’t wait to try more on their menu.

Been the familly chinese since i was a child, it certainly 'WAS' the best around and always packed. Unfortunately the prices here are now just to expensive for what you actually get. On top of that they have either changed there chef or someone has changed the menu for no good reason as no dish tastes the same, all very bland only half the portions and combined with the pricing its just no longer worth the trip out. Oh and they only take cash which is a nuisance. Its a really big shame but we now have stopped coming here after 30 years 😔 .. i have attached photos of there 2018 menu.

I usually am cautious with Chinese food as a lot of places I have tried upset my stomach with whatever they use to cook with etc. This place, recommended by my girlfriend, pleasantly surprised me. Clean and tasty food. The Duck was near perfect. Not greasy but still juicy shredded duck. Sure it's very busy peak times because it's a nice place for a take away.
