I've stayed here before pre Covid-19 back in February and it was good then. Now I'm totally blown away by the measures in place to make you feel safe. Tasteful partitions and social distancing measures clearly sign posted around but on blackboards so not too medical looking. My room is totally spotless and the lamb shank is quite simply the best I've ever had!! The staff are really relaxed and welcoming which certainly is a change from the big pub chains I could mention recently. I've really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely return!!

Pleasantly delighted with this little gem! Was greeted very politely by the gentlemen who run the place, whom were keen to take care of everything and were very attentive.Classy pub with great home cooked food on the ground floor and 2 floors of beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms above. The pub is located right on the high street so be prepared for some road noise if you are on that side but there are rooms that face the rear of the building which will be quieter. Room was very nice and comfortable with clean fresh towels and a good sized bathroom. One thing which stood out was the selection of teas and coffees in the room, goods to see a nice herbal tea selection and decaf coffee for those who require it. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Stayed at The Bull Hotel. Arrived too early for our designated room and were given The Cock and Bull Suite. Had lunch in the restaurant top class food. Lovely room, comfy bed. Very nice bathroom there were 3 steps down into bathroom. Adequate wardrobe space. Plenty of electrical sockets. Not much of a view from room, bit noisy at night. But all in all a very nice play to stay.

Very homely feeling to the rooms, stayed in the Courtyard which was a very cosy yet small double room. Another room was a standard double which did very nicely. Rooms are always clean and warm, beds comfortable and shower powerful enough just not in the morning. The only downside I had experienced were the loud doors closing in the corridors and every room.

I came on Sunday and we had one of the best Sunday Roasts ever! The plates where full and the meat perfectly cooked. We really enjoyed the dinner and I absolutely recommend this restaurant, it is perfect for families and groups.

We had dinner for four tonight. Lamb shank, beef pie and 2 bacon burgers. Was wonderful and is a fantastic change from the previous owners effort.Keep going and improving and you will do great!

Lovely little hotel. Room was a bit small but it is an old building. Had everything you needed. Room was a bit tired needs a bit of attention ie :- re decorating. Would have been nice, to had a choice of a nice cooked breakfast. Was only continental breakfast not my thing.

Great location and excellent staff with a wonderful breakfast. The fan in the room and the summer quilt were a great touch. We had an excellent sleep but when it came to the shower, it was clean but very small and extremely weak water pressure. There was also a nastie smell in the bathroom !.Sorry but due to the shower only we would not stay again.

Had a lovely meal here with my parents and my teenage son on a Monday lunchtime. It was nice and quiet, and very welcoming and warm of a freezing day. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, a young girl behind the bar bought us menus and served our drinks, the menu offered nice simple pub food, which is just what we fancied, we chose fish and chips, scampi and chips, and vegetarian quiche and chips. All served with salad. We didn't have to wait long for our food, the portions were very large, my fish was huge, it was lovely and crispy, fish was beautifully cooked and not too greasy. Again the lovely bar girl was very attentive and asked if everything was ok. We have eaten here before at lunch time, and we will definitely come again.

Excellent value for money. It's a small hotel in a little village. The rooms have been refurbished and you can tell they tried to make it modern. Our room was really good size, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! You could help yourself with continental breakfast from the counter and you could ask for hot food from the menu as well. On the other hand they overdid it a bit with both flower decorated carpet and wallpaper. The bathroom floor was a bit funny material and had some stains on it, would have done better with simple tiles and the sink didn't have enough space to wash you face without hitting your head in the mirror shelf. But overall for what we paid it was really good.
