Fantastic friendly pub & the food is great & cooked properly. My hubby & I had crackling with sauce whilst waiting for our starters.

Nice setting, very attentive staff (good management), decent menu selection. The food quality and presentation was very good for the price. Gripe, my starter of scotch egg, curry sauce and salad was served on a side plate, nightmare to eat.

Mixed Sunday roast for two 😍😍. We were thinking of ordering a starter and the lady advised us the roasts for two are huge and she bet on us not needing a starter. The food came out really quickly and it definitely didn’t disappoint.I love a roast dinner, normally places sell out by mid afternoon but our table was at 6.30 and they had all the meats left. The waitress was lovely and I wish I’d got her name. She even saved me from a massive spider that was swinging from the ceiling!!! Bonus points for not screaming with me!!!

Lovely atmosphere with a mixed age group of people. Waiting staff very attentive without being over the top and happy to help. Amazing food and reasonably priced for the quality! Not a huge variety of vegetarian food but the cauliflower steak with lentils and a coriander oil was fantastic

Mind blowing sharing roast, it really was beautifully presented and tasted sublime, it was the tastiest roast I've had in a restaurant in many years. My only comment and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is the fact we were told either 6 or 7 times about having a 2hour slot on the table.I do appreciate they're a businesses, and they have to turn that table; however, you didn't need to reiterate it every time you approached us, it became rude to be honest and spoiled the mood. I know we have 2 hours, I'm not stupid nor did we overrun in fact, we left 20 mins before our 2 hours were up. We never gave you any reason to think we'd be late so I don't know why our server was so focused on it with us and sometimes a bit rude.Carry on letting people know when they book and again when arrive but please, don't mention it again until at least half-way through the timeslot, it's a bit of a mood killer. That said, the food was so good I'll definitely go back even if I do only have 2 hours! 😊

The Cross Keys was our venue of choice to celebrate my partner's birthday. This was based on our numerous previous visits, which all have been excellent. Everything from the warm welcome, the environment, the food and drink and the heartfelt goodbye is first class. If you need a restaurant where you'll be looked after well, enjoy decent, honest home cooking and leave with a smile, then look no further. With thanks to the team for another excellent experience. Always love coming here for a meal. Great food - especially Sunday roast - but this time I came mid-week for a quick lunch. The nibbles are incredible - the bread+oil and pork crackling are winners. For main I had the chicken supreme, which was cooked perfectly. Definitely not a place to miss in MK.

Visited this evening on a recommendation from a friend, beautiful pub and the staff were so, so friendly. Our waitress was especially wonderful with our son who became unwell with a headache. She was so attentive and tried really hard to help him feel better. I'm sorry we didn't get her name but she truly was absolutely amazing. Our food was hurried down so we could get our son home again but our meals were delicious. Will definitely be back (without our son next time!)

First visit to cross keys this weekend. Set in the beautiful Woughton area of MK. As you come into the main area, it has a lovely open feel, flooded with light from sliding glass doors. There was a friendly, lively atmosphere. We had a lovely roast, with options of gammon, chicken, beef and others. Unfortunately they were out of gammon by 4pm so it must be popular (hopefully next time). I had the chicken portion, really well cooked, moist, but dare I say a little overkill on meat, I've never been so full! 😂The pub also has a great outdoor area with a tent style covering. I really liked it and will definitely be going back!
