The Nut and Squirrel in Milton Keynes

Every now and then myself and my partner have the chance to come here with our little family, we have quite a hectic schedule having 3 kids between us. The nut and squirrel is a cut above when it comes to quiet family orientated pubs. The staff know our faces recognise our booking and even our voices over the phone. All team members that we have met are kind, cheerful, incredibly professional, and caring always going the extra mile to check-in on us and cater as we need. The food is spectacular forever fresh hot and well presented. As far as I'm concerned for the quality and portion size the food is also very reasonably priced and always hits the spot. What more can I say if your looking for family meal a quick drink or even just a coffee with a smile do pop in. When you go to a place that feels like home. Thank you Nut and Squirrel, for not only the deeeelicious food, but also your exceptionally warm staff who felt more like friends and family. I'll definitely be heading back there again and again on future visits to that area. xxx

It is a shame that even though this pub has great food and good ambiance, it is all marred by staff lacking empathy. I visited with my family and a friend's family for mother's day dinner. We had two separate bookings and were told that we can't be seated together as the place is fully booked up which is fair. But as the night wore on, none of the other parties arrived and all of the restaurant was empty apart from one other table ( this was at 8PM). Even then they refused to seat us together. The food was very good. But based on this experience, I won't be visiting them anytime soon.

A very relaxing lunch with my family today. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Really good value of money and a lovely atmosphere.

This was our first visit and was impressed from the time we arrived until we left.The pub was very clean and warm without any annoying music in the background.We found the staff very friendly and professional throughout our visit.There was a good menu choice which was cooked fresh and of an exceptional standard and our compliments was sent to the chef.To sum up quality food at a reasonable price in nice surroundings.Certainly made an impression on my family and will look forward to returning in the near future.

I've eaten here many times before and always found the food and service 'average'. But on this occasion, the food was well presented, piping hot and really delicious. Not sure if it was just 'luck' on the day (it was a Saturday lunchtime) or if they have new chefs and staff? But if they could offer this level of service each time, then I would highly recommend this place for its ambience (nice open fire and comfy leather sofas), pleasant staff, delicious food and great value for money. I look forward to my next visit!

Very good customer service, we were taken care of the moment we arrived by friendly staff and sat down at a very cosy table. The menu was great, easily found everything on it. I ordered the ribeye surf and turf, which was exceptionally cooked. The prawns were succulent, juicy and cooked to perfection. Everything on the plate was very nicely seasoned and well presented; for a local pub I was very pleasantly surprised. Also, prices are more than reasonable and they have a wide variety of lagers and ales. I can only recommend, will definitely go back again soon.

Portion sizes were great and food was delicious, service was good and everything arrived hot and in a timely manner.excellent value for money. A lovely family friendly pub . Will definitely be returning..

Customer service was excellent. Had the toad in the hole, meal was delicious! food tasted very fresh and well cooked. Nice relaxed lunch time atmosphere.

What a wonderful experience. We went for lunch with 2 little ones. Menu was fab, food was nice and service was excellent. Very impressed. Really reasonable priced too ☺️
