Went here for a Sunday roast. The pub looks amazing and we were greeted by friendly staff. Some tables were really sticky, but we found a less-sticky one and sat down. The food on the whole was average, on one of the roasts the meat was inedible - very tough and fatty. We weren't asked how our food was during the meal, but I mentioned the problems with the meat after we'd eaten and the manager was very apologetic and offered us a free roast with a different meat. We declined, so instead she took 20% off the specific roast dinner with the issue. All in all the experience was fair.

We went for a walk in aspley heath with our dog and then stopped off for some lunch and a couple of drinks. Highly recommend, really friendly from the beginning we stepped inside to the moment we finished our last bite. Food was 10/10 customer service 10/10 also. No hesitation of letting our dog into the bar either. This weekend is my birthday so thank you for making it a nice one. We will definitely be back after out next walk 👍

I like the atmosphere in this village pub.. it's quirky and alluring... the food is good except for the sunday roast I have to say... it's unfavourably expensive when I compare it to my favourite SR place in Simpson as they charge£3.50 for cauliflower cheese which our favourite place does not... for some reason the meats tasted awful.. not like proper beef or pork taste at all... hard for me to describe really but I didn't like it one bit and couldn't wait to wrap up the meal...my husband also thought similar... so we won't be back for SR but other food they do well and it deserves another visit for a taste of that.

Just had 2 x Sunday Roasts via JustEat, first time WOW... very quick delivery and food was excellent delivery driver was polite & even was considerate by saying they had been double vaccinated & wore a face mask.Food tasted lovely. Such a good portion. Would definitely recommend and eat again. Thank You

Everything you want for a pub (and Sunday lunch). It's what you expect to see on a pub menu... but better. Humble but thoughtful detail throughout - the food, service, atmosphere and laidback style of the place will make you want to claim it as your local - even if, like me, it takes a 20min ride to get there. You'll happily spend your time and money here.

We had a Sunday roast-I had the pork with lots of cracking whilst Gill, my partner had the vegetarian nut roast. The portions were huge- too big in fact. I have a big appetite but I couldn’t finish mine. Reasonably priced too, we had an enjoyable time. The pub is finished off well and there is outdoor seating, slightly marred by the nearby road, but there are tables set back where you don’t hear the noise. Worth a visit if you are around Bow Brickhill.
