I have been around 5 times and always had a great experience. Food lovely, friendly staff and beautiful views. Yes you pay £7.50 to get into the park but you could spend all day here, walk around the lake, sit and chill, their is a park and sandpit area. Worth the money to get in.

Lovely views, quite and nice atmosphere

·

Beautiful terrace overlooking the lake with reasonably priced food and drinks.

I ordered the crab burger and it was delicious. They said it was locally sourced but couldn't confirm where from exactly. The setting was nice and the lady who served us was helpful and polite. However, we didn't get the same nice welcoming vibe from the other staff. One older woman kept staring at us but never smiled, she had a frown on for most of the time, it was most bizarre if you're working with customers. Another waitress also felt it was fine to walk passed a baby in a highchair, while carrying hot drinks, stacks of plates, food etc. Safety for the baby appeared not to be a concern to her. She should've gone round a different route rather than passed a baby whom she could've dropped anything on. Better training for all staff required there.Otherwise, good service from the woman who served us.

Absolutely awful, highly don't recommend the orange juice was concentrated. Service was appalling and rude. The food was cheap and bad quality, the salmon was very salty when I got home was terrible ill.I felt very let down and disappointed to be honest such a shame.

The food was really nice, great views and service. Food was a little pricey, drinks were reasonably priced.

I booked Sunday lunch for myself and family and was so looking forward to having a lovely afternoon. It was awful. Arrived at 2.15 and within the first 10 minutes the waitress accidentally dropped a drink over myself and granddaughter. They had run out of Sunday roast. Only had sandwiches and burgers on the menu. All the food food was of cheap and poor quality. £219.00 waste of money. Would not go back. Such a shame.

I have been to this venue before and it's a really nice location. On the last occasion I went there was no charge to eat in the the Reverie. I'm quite appalled that now before you even get to the Reverie you have to pay to get into the park. Apparently £7.50 a head before you even order your food or drink, that means a group of 4 pay £30 upfront before they're even sat down. The owners claim that it pays for staff and overheads. If you're only going to the Reverie why pay for other facilities of the park. I would rather pay a little more for the food and drink than have to pay what feels like a penalty charge which subsidises other park users. So I'm afraid it's 1 star for daylight robbery.

GOOD: 1: location and view, stunning ( we are locals but still find the lake view amazing2: service. young but attentive and keen always willingDrinks; Wine and beer were locally sourced ( nor why we picked them ) but crucially a great beer and wineBAD:1: the reverie charges you admission for a meal at 7.50 before you eat a morsel1 £ 46.00 fee for a very ordinary 'dome' experience ( try london sites on the thames, tower bridge etc for an better/equally priced and far better experience)2: food, we had a beef and pork belly roast with veg, both of which were warm < ie not hot enough and a small anount of gravy . The quality was ok,the beef and port were tender and the veg was al-dente, but the roast potatoes ( 3 per plate) were clearly re-heated and horrible.2: Portions. Pitiful one small carrot, one small parsnip, two small tenderstem boroccolis and two thin slices of beef ( and one small wedge of pork belly)Shameful given the price at 17.50 and 19.50 just for the roast dinner meals3: no car park so best to walkIn summaryBeautiful location but if you like your food of a good quality and at an appropriatre temperature and at a reasonably values prices, go elsewhere. But worth a visit for the stunning setting just be prepared to pay

We went there for lunch on a weekday afternoon and it was not busy. Food and service were very good.
