Lal Akash in Mole Valley

Food took ages to come, then finally when we were served, the lamb meat was only half cooked. I wasn't even able to cut it using a knife and you could see the raw parts of the meat. Chicken Jalfrezi was the other dish, the 'cut' onions are so large that you can't even eat them. I have eaten Jalfrezi countless times and I have to say this wasn't even near the normal standard. Moreover, the waiter was standing right behind while I was eating which was not very comfortable. The portions are very small, and overpriced. It simply isn't worth it. Even the music in the background was super annoying as it was a cartoon voice singing which wasn't very pleasing to the ears.I would not recommend it to anyone it isn't worth it, even with the high prices the meals have zero taste and aren't filling.

Delicious food, good service and reasonably priced.The waiter made a very small mistake by only bringing a coke when a vodka and coke was ordered. The owner seemed absolutely mortified and immediately brought over a replacement drink, as well as offering complimentary baileys for dessert.For me, that is a show of class and a sign of a man that truly values exceptional service and tries his utmost to give diners a fantastic experience.Overall, I had a great time

This restaurant has been refitted and an improvement over how it was a few years ago. Food good, service. Waiting staff adequate. Good environment.

Very disappointed, My Bengali Honey chicken dish which apparently is no more , was changed to a a garlic CHILLI chicken dish with no consultation whatsoever, ....surely better to explain on ordering so you can choose another dish rather than having one chosen for you!!!! Also a £3.50:delivery charge, we live within a 3 mile radius so I can only assume they are not happy/too busy to bother with deliveries .

Very good food! Love the spice and the service! Garlic nan with lamb Koran!!! Best ever I had!!

Probably the worst service performed by Lal Akash last night 27th Aug. Food order which was collected, as a wait of an hour and a half for delivery was missing 3 dishes and some not what we ordered. The quality, normally of the best in Kingston, was lacking any substance, so where did you go wrong, a new chef or too busy. All the main dishes had just meat or prawns, no onions, herbs, just simply a liquid sauce of different colours. Normally happy to leave some for the next day, tbh, we threw it in the bin. Was not happy as we had guests last night. Now need to find another curry house.

We had a dinner at Lal Akash New Malde today and it was wonderful. Very clean place and delicious food. My husband ordered Lamb Tikka and I ordered the mixed grill, they were both amazing. We had different starters and sides shared them all and all was perfectly cooked, served really hot. Even our children enjoyed the food. Our 5 year old just had some popadoms and keema naan, son ate from everything. Their fish, prawns and meat all were cooked beautifully. Will definitely visit again and recommend it 100%...

I had a takeaway from here it was superb they must have a new Chef !! Papadums and sauces and salad lovely and fresh . The onion Bhajis were amazing had a aloo Ghohbi potato and Cauliflower gorgeous melt in your mouth potatoes and lovely spiced Cauliflower!! Superb !! Mushroom rice spot in excellent Garlic Nan. I had a Chicken tika jalfrezi specialty and the chicken was so nice and tender lovely sauce with a lovely Tangy hot kick to it!! My friend had a chicken tikka Rogan and loved it. This curry house has had some tough times but seems to have come through it. If you fancy a curry keep this place in mind it’s really excellent!!!

Lal Akash is a simple Indian restaurant that also provides a takeaway service. During my visit there was no alcohol served (they were not licensed) but customers are welcome to bring their own.
