Needed my front triple derailleur mech sorted out as I couldn’t fathom what to do, rang the shop and they were very helpful over the phone with some tips and advice. I really wanted it looked at and they fitted me in on the same day. 10 minutes of professional tinkering and an extremely reasonable workshop fee and the front gears change beautifully. Thank you for your speedy and expert help.

This place is 5 star plus and the cafe isn't bad either. I had a bike custom made last year, Dave spent a lot of time listening and advising and the result was a fantastic bike which I used to cycle round the coast of Britain. Just over a year on and I'm in Spain and the front hub, an sp dynohub, starts to give me problems with the bearings. A phone call later and a new wheel is on its way and in less than 4 days I'm back on the road. Absolutely superb customer service, a lot of businesses out there should take note!! Thank you so much. The level of expertise that Dave has is also superb, even the most experienced cycle tourist / bike packers could learn lots from him. Well worth a visit/ phone call. Check the website!!

Bought the pilgrim tourer about 2 1/2 years ago and since then I’ve had a brilliant experience dealing with Dave at Pilgrim cycles. He customised my bike with the specs I asked for including a modern dynamo hub in the front wheel which has revolutionised the way I can tour. I can charge everything whilst I cycle. I’ve also had the bike serviced with Dave and he is ridiculously thorough, efficient, and keeps you updated with the progress. All in all a great guy and a great business, I would highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase a touring bike, or with a bike in need of a service. Hope this helps someone. Kev

Lovely staff and excellent drinks and cakes. Traditional, quality touring bikes for sale as well as some cool, quirky options; I'd have bought the pink fat bike on the spot if I had the cash. A proper cycle shop, somewhere you feel you can trust. If we don't support places like this they'll disappear.

A very special place to stop. Excellent espresso, good quality ice cream in the freezer, and all in the most fabulous setting with first-class, very friendly service. Very pretty bikes too.

Website & bike range look good for a touring cyclist, however disappointed when I visited (late Sunday afternoon). Small cramp premises most inside cafe tables were taken up with groups of cyclists and their bikes having on the spot minor repairs and punctures fixed by owner who seemed too busy to talk to me. Cake & coffee tasted good but need to separate out oily hand repairs from food service as a hygiene issue. Suggest that if you are serious about buying a bike then you call first and make an appointment rather than just turn up like I did.

This is a real Gem of a shop in an interesting old building literally on the platform of the station & settled in the beautiful Surrey hills. Stocks a great collection of bikes and spares especially good for touring & bike packing. The owner is ever so friendly, upgraded my disc rotors on my cx and can order in pretty much anything your after.A breath of super fresh air compared to a lot of cycling shops

Went in and Dave was excellent spending hours talking and helping me decide on best touring option. Had a coffee and hot cross buns which were excellent and very very friendly and welcoming in both the bike shop and cafe. Brilliant niche bike shop and would highly recommend

Had to go in earlier today when a ride that started dry ended up wet and super cold. Friendly staff, a limited selection of kit but that's no surprise as the shop is pretty small. Decent espresso though. Will use again

Very friendly and helpful people run it.Great place to flapjack refuel after cycling a few loops of Box Hill and get running repairs on your bike.Loads of different fruit teas and they have a proper coffee machine, plus loads of different snacks to feast on.Best of all, when it's cold they have a real fire.
