Really nice history museum worth visiting.

A bit of fortress heritage.

Great place to visit for all military and history enthusiasts.

I found this an impressing and very interesting place where I learned a few things about Dutch history. The museum/exhibition surely is very informative.The personnel working here was very kind (that is how I know people in the Netherlands!) and I was really astonished that we were offered a reduced entrance fee, because we were foreigners. The lady told us that this is because not all of the exhibition was explained in English and/or German (Dutch only), but I can read Dutch (a bit). Anyway, usually around the globe tourists rather get ripped off, so I will probably remember for a very long time that here at Fort 1881 we had to pay less as foreigners. This is the way forward!

Nice place, great music, good beer.

Great live music on Sunday afternoon.

Didn't go inside, because the ticket was 6 euros. But from the outside it looks heavy. The ticket includes a map and some informational leaflet. I suggest to go around and check the fort from all the sides.
