Usually I don’t leave bad reviews but the experience in Santi was something different. We sat there on a Saturday evening. Even that the restaurant wasn’t busy the waiting time was very long. Firstly no greetings at all. The waitresses were passing our table to each other and we waited about 15 minutes to get a menu. After ordering they made mistakes with our order and we waited another 30 minutes for it. Very bad customer service at all. Otherwise the food was good but the customer service left a bad feeling for the whole experience so we are not going back for sure!

Pros - the ambience and the staff are very lovely. It's suitable for young children and babies as they have a kids menu, high chairs and the baby change.Cons - unfortunately the food is not all authentic (I'm Italian myself). A few dishes are okay like the affettati, however we had several pasta dishes and they're very much "adjusted" to the international taste, sometimes not in a great way.Plus, in my opinion, the higher-than-average prices are not justified by what you get served. For ÂŁ15-16 for a pasta dish, I'd expect to eat Italian ingredients or at least to be served an original recipe.

Love this place so much but then I do love good Italian food and the food here is scrumptious. Try any seafood option. The service is fantastic. Our waiter/maître d knew his wines and made a perfect choice on the rosé. Can't wait to go back.

I had high hopes for this restaurant. As a local I’ve eyed it up for a while and today decided to have a late lunch here. Almost 40 mins in, I asked if it was normal to have waited this long. The staff checked only to find they had lost my order. They sent me some complimentary garlic bread and said it would be with me in 5 mins. Almost 20 mins later, my order arrives. The pan fried sea bass was swimming in olive oil, to the point it was almost overbearing at times. I was expecting salad with my food (as stated on the menu) yet it had been replaced with steamed broccoli. By this point I couldn’t be bothered as their heart clearly wasn’t in it. What a shame. Clean place and pleasant staff but I won’t be coming again.

Very lively and popular restaurant in East village. Has its own pizza oven, and the pizzas are obviously popular, though we did not have them. I had a chicken and aubergine dish which was very tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Updates on 4th March 2022Decided to give this restaurant another try after lockdown. Amazing food I must say and you won’t be disappointed with the amazing food that they have. Check out the photos for the freshness of the food. I would definitely come back again in the future.——————————————————————Decided to give Santi pizza takeaway a try. It opens on Monday afternoon. Most other restaurant do takeaway but only from 5pm. It’s good that this restaurant takes order for lunch during the week. I just ordered a classic American pepperoni pizza. As you can see on the photo, the crust was slightly burnt at the side. I couldn’t eat the crust much as it was bitter due to the burnt. The service was pretty fast had my pizza in 3 minutes. Will probably come back to try other dishes in the future.

Very good Italian food. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The service was very quick as it was very quiet and the food came fast. It is made with quality and authentic ingredients. The base is thin and beautifully cooked in a wood oven. Prices are very good taking in consideration the above. Highly recommended

The food overall was ok, but the pizza dough was barely average. Also, we had to change our order 3 times because they didn't have any more lasagna and some other dishes. At least the service was very good and the waitress was really nice and attentive. It's an ok place to grab a bite if you are in the area, but I would never make a reservation there as there are plenty more, and better, places to eat in London
