Smith and Western in Mole Valley

A very well themed western restaurant with friendly staff, however, food is below average with medium rare steak being medium, chicken breast too dry and ribs not hitting the spot. Fries were the stars of the show but that’s accompanied by the above and a flat pint of lager. If there is nothing else in the area, it’s a good shout, but otherwise keep looking.

Always wanted to try a Smith & Western. Really amazing place to have a lunch or evening meal. Very well presented themed restaurant. Decorated well and good parking outside. Lunch menu has a really good deal and the food is fantastic and good portions. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and we were treated good throughout. Located couple of minutes from Box Hill. Will definately be returning to this great restaurant.

I enjoyed the Western experience with the staff dressed up and the amazing saloon decor also in a great location with beautiful view of Box Hill. I was disappointed by the food if I'm honest and I think American Bbqers would be turning in their pits. The steak was not seasoned at all!! Not even salt n pepper they just put some uncooked chilli peppers on top and ask if you want sauce. I actually feel like the steak came out of and bag from the microwave as it had no grill marks. The bbq ribs weren't any better. The sides were nice . I don't know why they charge you £4 for 3 dry prawns!!!!!???? That is an unacceptable starter. The best thing was the mac n cheese. We ordered 2 cocktails 1 mojito which tasted like rain water and the other margarita which was divine. Also 1 staff member literally told us certain areas were closed so we couldn't sit there as 'they want to go home at some point' that's kind of rude when we drove over an hour away just to visit and there was still 3 hours till close.

What an amazing place to have a meal. Parking was good. Once we entered we were greeted by a friendly staff member. We were seated and the service was fast and efficient. The food was amazing and one of the best places that I have been to. The cost is reasonable and matches the food quality and service received. 5 stars all the way. Well done 👏

Cute shed with American style food.TNT wings are not that hot, and are quite sour. Liked the celery!Ribs are definitely big, and recommend curly fries!Avocado lime cheesecake is tasty.The Margarita with Passion fruit was nice, but a bit too sour(!).I’d love to see a party in that cage!Take half of my ribs home.

It's all decorated nicely for Christmas. The lady that served us was absolutely lovely. The steak was good but a little heavy with the salt. The portions are huge so eating more than one course would be a challenge

Fantastic. Shannon our server was a darling, had a great sense of humour and always smiling. Couldn't do enough for you. The food was excellent and far too much. Overall a pleasant dining experience.

We always brig our kids here for special occasions. The staff are so friendly and attentive. John the waiter we have had serving us twice now and he really is a fantastic host and waiter, he always makes an effort and goes out of his way for you. The food is fantastic and great size portions. The desert for four people is a must! We will be back again soon!

I love it. The quality and the quantity of the food is superb. All American hearty service, atmosphere, food.... The waitresses/ waiters are friendly and helpful. Pleasantly loud. 😄

Overall a good restaurant which is a bit on the more expensive side but however they don’t charge service charge therefore it’s fine.The food is not too bad although the sirloin steak has a good taste however it is very chewy.Service here was quick and friendly so nothing to complain.Interior decor is very well made and gives you a good atmosphere of the Wild West while dining.If you come for boxhill than you have to stay for the food.
