The cafe has a super efficient method of taking orders and delivering food quickly. Delicious food with an irresistible range of home made cake. Friendly small garden centre, but parking is very limited at very busy times. I enjoy visiting the cafe at off peak times.

Lovely garden centre, lots of lovely things to choose from however the café area left a little to be desired. The poor staff were struggling with just 2 of them. The food was really basic, sausage in brioche bun was just that.... Bun had just come out of the fridge and was quite dry.

Myself and my friend with our one year olds went to Squires to pick up some garden tools. Whilst we were there, it’s started raining heavily so we decided to go to the cafe for a coffee. The minute we stepped foot in the cafe, we were made to feel uncomfortable by the staff. It was clear that children we not welcome there. We sat down, drank our coffees and tried to ignore the atmosphere. A very rude comment was made when the cups were collected aimed at the boys. We do not feel like the comment or the atmosphere was justified and will not be returning.

I can't fault the garden centre itself, plenty to choose from and helpful staff. The coffee shop is another story, the staff is innefficient, often get orders wrong ( happened in 3 out of my last 4 visits). They have a new system in place with red, yellow and green cards wich nobody explains you what each mean so it is a bit of a mistery. I went to the counter to order breakfast to be asked my table number, there wasn't a number on my table but the lady insisted if I did't have a table number the food might be served to the wrong person, it wasn't busy and we had just been showed where to sit by her, rather comical. When it is busy, service is very slow and at times there is no service. All in all the service is poor, the food is good, it is clean and the prices are average.

I am disabled and use crutches to get around. The isles between the plant racks are quite close together. I had multiple people nearly walk into me with their trolley. After being there for about 10 minutes and getting constantly nearly bumped I had to leave - far to anxious with the near misses to buy anything. One of the near misses was a member of staff 🙁

Is is too much to expect a major "garden" centre to see lawn mower? Plenty of room for non-garden goods - food, greetings cards etc

·

Couldn't even get parked, there were some spaces but other visitors don't know how to park so making 3-4 spaces absolutely useless and unusable. Drove round and straight out again to a different nursery

I have visited two squires garden centres this week, one in Buckland (Reigate) Surrey and the other in Washington West Sussex and I must say that the Reigate centre far exceeds its big brother at Washington. The Reigate centre has a beautiful presentation of plants, the centre is very well presented and organised and the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable and happy to help with anything you need. They have a great range of stock in the centre and outside in the garden. The coffee shop is really nice, clean and tidy and the food is good which didn’t feel the case with the Washington centre, which felt untidy (with rubbish on the floor) and was definitely not as well presented. The Washington squires also had many areas around the gardens which were technologically behind the scenes but exposed to customers and contained unsightly rubbish. The centre felt as though it was lacking customer service and attention to detail; something Reigate excels in.

Had lunch here then bought plants, plant pots and potting compost. Good meal, fish and chips. Good range of plants and pots.

Squires.. the staff are to a man and woman so friendly and helpful both in garden area, tills and coffee shop. Thumbs upto culture and training. Plants good quality and get plant guarantees.
