Went to the Stepping Stones Dorking to check it out for a lunch for 20 to 30 early retired staff. Very disappointed had fish chips and ham and eggs could not eat the fish asked for normal peas got mushy peas (see photo) speak to the staff when interupted by another staff member saying I going still charged service no offer to adjust the bill sorry will not be using you again🤔

Family birthday meal, one meal was missed off the order so that arrived much later, my salmon was over cooked and a bit tough. The roast my sister had did look amazing, and she enjoyed it. The burger was really good apparently, when it eventually arrived. Service was a bit slow considering it wasn’t very busy.

Great service. Really friendly staff. We ordered sandwiches and chunky chips. The chips were massive and just the right temperature. The sandwiches were nice but would have been even better if they used chunky bread rather than sliced. Really nice experience at the end of a long walk. Plus I got a very nice local ale.

The location and food was lovely. The staff should work out their logistics. It wasn't that busy and there was quite a few staff but they were struggling to keep up. Saw a lot of people waiting to pay when they were running late to catch the train. Although I understood why one of the chefs had to come out to address a wrong order, but I don't like seeing them being rude and aggressive in front of customers.

Used to be a good solid pub, now it's a restaurant that serves beer too. Food is good, maybe a little bit more expensive than you would expect. There's an hour's wait for food at peak times.

A menu of good pub classics, well cooked, decent drinks, an airy dining room and friendly service - a great addition to our walk on Box Hill. We had steak & frites (properly medium rare) and a beef burger. Also chocolate torte, which was lovely. Will need to find more walks round there!

We popped into Stepping Stones for lunch while in Dorking for the day.It is a really lovely pub serving great meals at a reasonable price. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the service was prompt but not pushy and, when the food arrived, it was perfectly cooked.Highly recommended!

Not bad but nothing really good. Quite expensive beers and not strong at all. Good outdoor area, and close to train station and box hill.

Great pub in a good location.Food was served outside in a lovely garden and was extremely tasty.Very nice range of drinks on offer too.Staff were very friendly and even helped us return a lost bunny teddy to our daughter. Going beyond the call of duty.Would definitely visit again.

Beautiful country pub, friendly staff, plenty of outdoor space, kids menu and even some healthy veggie options! Plus yummy desserts.
