Classic country pub with a good size ‘beer garden’ And some local beers. Food was good unfortunately the service was painfully slow.Easy to get to from the A303 and has parking.

First visit to the Cricketers Inn. We popped in for lunch this afternoon having booked a table for 4. Atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff were great. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, especially the golden crispy batter on the fish & chips! My partner also enjoyed the King Scallops too. Will definitely return!

As local's pubs go, this is right up there with the best. They have a good selection of beers and wines, and the food is classy without being pretentious. There us a very welcoming atmosphere, where people actually speak to you when you arrive. There's a nice garden which is dog and children friendly. ( that's a locally sourced venison burger.😋)

Amazing menu - fresh whole fish (baked whole trout with chilli and soy for £18) and a venison burger for <£15, buttered new potatoes, and fresh salad, plus a range of ales on tap, local charcuterie, homemade pies and puds - definitely a cut above most gastropubs. Lovely characterful interior with furnishing and fireplace, and super-lovely staff. Despite being nice and busy, service and speed of food was on point.Beautiful garden and village location, plenty of parking.

Lovely pub in a picturesque village. Very well kept Dark Star Hophead and fantastic fish n chips. Sat out in the garden on a sunny Saturday afternoon, could've stayed all day! Friendly, top draw staff - highly recommended...........we'll be back.......

Well kept real ale & very fresh, local food. Between two of us we had a crab salad & fresh Test Valley trout to die for. The best that I have ever tasted....

From the outside the pub is stunning. They market themselves as a "gastro pub" but truth be told its just a traditional pub. Walking in they had put a large screen tv on the bar with all the locals crowded round it watching football. My wife and I were out for a nice romantic meal. It wasn't that romantic being 3 feet away from a crowd watching a football match. The locals also let there kids run riot to the point I had to run out side the pub on my way to the toilet to stop a very young toddler running away. The food was average and the waiter just circled the few tables constantly so felt like he was watching us eat. Parking is limited too. Overall we were exstreamly underwhelmed by the pub. If its a pub call it a pub don't try to be a gasro pub if you are not.
