Service was good but food I'm afraid this time wasn't I had sausages and mash and I always ask for them to be well done unfortunately this time around it wasn't cooked to the way I like it and I now go to the spotted dog up the road it's far higher quality sausages and a mush bigger portion and cheaper slightly so I get my food from Thier now as it's far superior

Quirky pub with lovely function room for hire for parties. Nice courtyard area with Booth seating and heating.

This was my favourite pub but it has now changed management and it is just not the same place. The new Australian landlord was inappropriate to my girl friends and made us feel very unwelcome. Such a shame.

·

Very nice old pub with a nice selection of beers, ales and spirits. I last went on a friday and there was live music on which was great. Nice outdoor bit out the back with huts and a hidden room through a wardrobe! Not your average local thats for sure.

Great place for a Sunday roast. Staff very attentive and friendly. Food was great and portions very generous. The baked brie cheese was fantastic to share and lamb roast one of the best I ever had. My wife had a chicken roast and enjoyed it as well. Definitely worth to mention is gravy they use, which is not a typical cheap stuff, but more like a jus - absolutely fabulous. For sure will be back.

The staff coped exceptionally well with 16 WI ladies booked in for lunch. We were very pleased with the menu choice and the level of service from Sam and Nicky was professional and unobtrusive. Ashley, chef extraordinare, delivered food to 5* standard. The pub is ideal for walkerrs and is dog friendly, the eating area was out of bounds to all the well behaved dogs, so everyone is catered for. Well done to all concerned.

Quaint pub, walked by before & never been in but will be sure to again. Cosy snugs & garden with heated booths, great array of drinks too.

First time to Dorking, and wandering around the town, looking for somewhere to eat popped into this place, on the recommendation of the sister pub across the road (which wasn't doing food, but also looked very nice) and was pleasantly surprised... A very nice lunch, good pint, dog friendly, and a spacious garden with cubicles. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Will go again next time in town.

Lovely staff, great food. Beautiful pub garden and dog friendly too.

A warm welcome on entry, no fire lit on a cold March morning though the radiator was on. Home made soup was A+ wish I’d left with the recipe, Nachos almost as good.Dog friendly too. Nice mix of table sizes and the sofas in front of the fire looked inviting if it was lit!Good selection of ale and lager. What’s not to love?
