Very friendly and efficient service and gorgeous food - my friend said the cheesy dirty fries with pork and jalapenos was amazing! I am really looking forward to going back in the summer - the garden and dining terrace are massive with a fab kids play area. Highly recommended.

Fabulous range of real ales and great food with a marvellous garden. Staff are exceptionally good. Bar service and excellent table service for drinks if that's preferred.

What a brilliant place it is. Been there for someone recommendation. Just love the atmosphere. Great staff, attentive & helpful. Great service. Plenty of room inside seating. Serving cask as well as craft beers. Variety of breweries from all UK. Big space for outdoor seating. Big parking area. Recommend. Worth to visit.

Always a lovely atmosphere with a fantastic choice of beer and a decent food menu. You will not be disappointed. Huge thank you to Dan for making our group feel very welcome on our most recent visit.

We used the Surrey Oaks to cater our wedding at Gildings Barn. Matt and his team were fantastic from start to finish and our day ran so smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious and we couldn't fault a thing. Thank you so much for helping make our wedding day so memorable.

Absolutely abysmal!! This place always has bad and slow service but we normally look past it, but today was beyond forgivable. After waiting over an hour for our food, not only were we served cold dishes, we were only informed at that point that one of our dishes was unavailable. When we asked to speak to the manager we were told the absolute coward had “popped out for supplies” and left his excellent staff to deal with our complaints. If the manager isn’t fired immediately for refusing to deal with his customers and also having abysmal service this place deserves to go down the pan. We will never be returning

Great atmosphere, combined with probably the most comprehensive beer and ale selection I have seen in a pub 👍Angus was great at giving info on the different types on offer…and was swift with tasters, which I think is always a good touch.Had the steak followed by sticky toffee pudding, arrived quickly and well cooked.Portion size was great and good value. The pub is close to walking and cycling routes, always handy when you need an excuse to visit next time.

Had such a great meal here! Stopped in on a whim whilst waiting for our Airbnb to be ready and we had better service than we've had anywhere at home in the past few years. The chef went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary requirements - making a special dressing, as their mayonnaise had dairy in it. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Went to the Beer and cider festival over the August Bank Holiday. It was very well organised with social distances in place.Excellent food options health options in the day my husband had a ceasar salad and I had a sticky chicken and rice pot . In the evening an excellent Pizza wagon turned up and I have to say one of the best pizza I have ever tasted! The event was super enjoyable and a we would definitely come back for more of this kind of hospitalityBig thank you to the owners and there hard working staff for a wonderful day

Average, it is not a 3 star but not a 4 star. However I think some little things could have made it better. We met up with friends here for some lunch. The pub grounds are really good and they have a decent outside play area for children, they have a good amount of parking as well and at the time the MG club was there; so had some cool cars in the car park. There was live music. The service was not the quickest, however it was not a problem. The food was good, however I had roast beef and there was not much gravy (ideally should come in a boat on the side), plus on the menu it said with cauliflower cheese which was missing, we asked the waitress and she said she would go and sort it, and never did, the beef was good though. I ordered a pint of lemonade with the meal and it did not arrive, so had to ask again. We also had to ask to order desert 3 times (the response was 'I will get someone for you'). The desert was really good (treacle tart) and was served quickly once ordered.
