The Woodman in Mole Valley

The Woodman hosted my 30th birthday party last night and it was absolutely great! We were a large group of roughly 80 people and they couldn’t of been more accommodating. They were great at organising the entertainment I wanted and the area they set up for me was fantastic. Richard was great at answering all my random queries in the planning stages and the party could not have gone any better! Organising a party can be so stressful but the Woodman made it easy and also really good value for money. I would definitely recommend them as a venue for any celebration!! The staff on the night were wonderful and did not let how busy it was phase them. Thank you for such an amazing birthday party!!!

Given wrong table although we had booked, then had to be moved to correct table and someone else had to move from there. Bottle of drink with wet bottom placed on table which slid off onto floor which manager(?) did not agree with - said it was impossible for that to happen. Another customer saw it happen. Eventually given another drink. Served wrong starter as our table number had been used by someone else - although sitting at table 18 we would have bill for table 17. Food was not great - edible. Manager had obviously spoken to a waitress about the bottle on the floor as she apologised when we went to pay the bill. We explained it was not her fault as she was nowhere near the table when it happened - nobody touched it. More likely to be due to wonky table (and wet bottle bottom) which has a piece of paper/card under one leg. Manager(?) needs to go on course in how to deal with public. This was supposed to be a birthday treat. We will not be returning, and have cancelled a family get together we were going to have at the Station pub in Hampshire in the near future.

We enjoyed a wonderful Mothers Day meal at The Woodman today! All of the food was delicious and enjoyed by all 😁 The waitresses were all so polite and friendly. We ordered via the app which was very easy to do and all of the food was served at a great speed. Thank you all so much for a wonderful Mothers Day treat

Such a great place - although large, it has lots of cosy nooks and crannies. 2 lovely open fires. Really tasty food (we had 2 course set menu). Our waitress was warm, fun and chatty. Will definitely be going again soon!

Went to the woodman with a group of 5 adults and a child and must admit they were so welcoming and accommodating to our needs as a group. The service was quick and the staff were so lovely and such an easy group of people to talk to and to have banter with. The food came out in a great time and was lovely, even my nephew ate all of his and he is fussy! Definitely recommend x

We tried the Woodman last night, having got fed up with the poor beer choice in our usual haunt. Really enjoyed Rev James, Pride and TEA. Three fantastic beers. Clearly somebody is making an effort with the ales here and it's greatly appreciated.

What an amazing experience I had at the woodman pub, great service and greetings from a lovely staff member called Carla very friendly! We came in for dinner on the 11th February and very much enjoyed ourselves. Would most certainly recommend coming here.

We came to the woodman the other week and the experience was just incredible! The staff where amazing and Lisa helped me with everything and nothing was ever too much for her! I will definitely be going back.

Visited here with a big group of people for a birthday arrived 5 minutes before booking to be told they didn't think we would be arriving and a table wasn't even set up for us, they then put table together and it was awful, tables didn't go together properly due to the being different shapes then slouched sofa's as our seats which resulted on most people sitting on the edge of the sofa just be able to eat. Although there was alot of dishes not available the food was hot and it was nice. Drinks where nice but unfortunately the shot glass had a chunk or glass missing from the rim and a cracked down it!

Lovely, roomy Pub in Ashtead, Surrey. Super cosy. Loved the fireplace in the middle of the Pub which makes it super warm in the winter. Ideal to unwind on a Friday evening, catch up with friends or have a Party. I had my work Christmas Party here last night and I really enjoyed it. Food was tasty and the atmosphere pleasant. Customer service at the table could improve a bit but cannot complain and would not hesitate to recommend this place. Easy to access, disabled parking and ample car park at the rear. Thumbs up!!
