New management!! Wow what a place, decor is now so on point! Food served was City restaurant level. Very efficiently brought out without a huge wait.Dog friendly and treated hugely by the owner and staff alike!! We would love to be back asap!

Just had a lovely lunch in the relaxing setting of the Watermill. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived and we were well looked after throughout our visit. The food is excellent and we spoke with one of the chef's who enlightened us on other food ideas they are going to produce in the future.Well worth the visit. We will definitely return.

Lovely place to have a drink or have a meal. Fish is very tasty. Pear pizza has a sweet taste on a pizza. Worth a try. Chips are big and fluffy inside.Staff is really nice. South African lady that helped us made our dog feel very welcome. Brought water and star dog biscuits twice. Played with him too.Inside is spacious and well looked after. Toilets are very clean and look great.Sitting outside is a possibility and with a nice view. Certainly worth a visit.

We’ve visited a couple of times since the ‘massive re-furb’ and can’t recommend it highly enough. For those of you that may have visited previously, and maybe, like us, were not overly enamoured with the food - you’ve got to return. A huge improvement. It’s like walking into an entirely different pub.We went on the opening weekend, I had the T-bone steak and it was worth every penny. So much som that we returned for my birthday.Great location, with great views and dog friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we’ll definitely be back.

Amazing and beautiful pub with great views of Box Hill. Clearly it's a local favourite for dinner and other family functions. Always busy but good service. Food was really good and drinks choices a plenty. They even had a good wine and cocktails menu. Easy and classy choice if in the area.

A warm welcome. We were shown to our table, given menus and then left to it.We waited a while before they came back and asked us what we would like for drinks. We nearly gave up and went to the bar at 1 point. Once we got our drinks we had to wait again for someone to come and take our order. We were waiting for 1 more person to turn up who was very late.I thought the service could of been better, there was loads of staff on the floor. Food was amazing. Credits to the chef's of the kitchen. Cocktails were great. The service needs to be worked on alot.

Wow… they have done a fantastic job here with the new refurbishment. Cool joint now with all aspects covered, bar relaxed to chill, food area cosy, outside great views, a funky patio area for some Nordic Hygge. A wee bit pricey but hey you get what you pay for..!

Having wanted to visit The Watermill for a month, we were very disappointed when we went last weekend. Staff were not wearing masks, despite it being mandatory and I can only assume the staff had received some bad news as they weren't very warm, friendly or welcoming. Given how many lovely pubs and restaurants there are around, who do adhere to the guidance, we left. Such a shame. I have given the third star, as the decor was lovely and it looked like a good selection on the menu.

A newly renovated and re-launched gastropub overlooking the iconic Box Hill. Great use of space and the outdoor areas look inviting and cosy even in winter with the heating and fireplaces.Reasonably priced revamped menu, with the centrepiece their aged steaks. Local ingredients, including local Dorking Brewery ales and English wines, which is great to see. Friendly, attentive and knowledgable team and made us feel very welcome!
