Wimpy in Mole Valley

Went in to buy my gf a milkshake. They won't take orders under £5 on card. Gave him a tenner. Looked at the change which seemed a bit light. Came back within 15 minutes to query it and he wouldn't refund. As he had given me correct change for a fiver. Offered for me to come back at closing time when he cashes up. Not everyone lives locally. Shame about the customer service he could have resolved this but didn't. He told me the colour of the note was green, it's blue for a fiver. Complete liar and poor service, shame on you Wimpy.

Very expensive and chips tasted like rubber and the fish wasn't the best especially for the money, unfortunately it was a sunday and it was early and the only way we could get fish and chips i do not reccomend the fish and chips, maybe the other food is better?, oh and portions was horrendous, £30 for three small portions of fish and chips and peas,

Dry burger & chips were horrible. Milk shake was nice though.

Haven't visited a wimpy in years,so thought would give the restaurant in Dorking High Street a try.We were the only couple in there,which I thought was unusual for a Friday lunchtime.We were served by what I can only describe as the worst waitress I have ever encountered.She was not only very miserable but very unhelpful and seemed like we had put her out by visiting and making her get up off the chair she was planted on.Did'nt give us much time to choose what to order and stood there staring at the ceiling with her hands on her hips.There was a total lack of basic manners and no please or thank you.When calling her back,as we were not offered any drinks,she tutted and said "what do you want"?!.When asking where the toilet was she replied without even looking at me,"down there"!.The chef also looked just as miserable and surly and can only imagine that they're a very unhappy married couple that are clearly bored of their jobs and are generally totally fed up of being there and of life in general?.The food came quite quickly and wasn't too bad but was nothing like wimpy was years ago.When eating they both planted themselves back onto chairs and didn't ask if our food was okay!.Could hear them both moaning about a number of things.Got the bill,never left a tip other then to tell her to try and smile more.When telling a friend about my wimpy experience here,he said that his partner was refused the veggi meal by the same waitress as she couldn't be bothered to use a different cooking pan!.I would've given no stars if I could and I won't be returning anytime soon.

Really impressed with the quality of the food. Delicious food, and quick too! Arrived at quite a busy time, with only 2 staff working, and hardly waited for our order. Very impressed, will go again.

Fresh and crunchy fries. Meaty burger. Special sauce. Cool crisp salad.Cola was a bit flat though.

The burgers & fries were amazing! And the buns! Simple yet delicious! Didn't get soggy at all! The milkshakes were very creamy and tasty as well. Would definitely go there again!

This was my first ever visit to Wimpy and I was pleasantly surprised. Table service that was prompt with food that was tasty, what more can you ask for?

Brilliant food as always. Come from Berkshire every Sunday to get a good Wimpy. The best one around by far. They are also open Sundays which is a bonus for bikers like myself.

Great burger and milkshake made fresh.
