Great pub. Warm and welcoming. They did have some essential ingredients missing, so couldn't order some menu items, but what we had was good pub food and ideal portions. Could do with a kids menu.

Very nice food, good ambiance and the staff is very polite.

75% of the menu is unavailable which is incredibly disappointing. No steaks available at all!! Quicker to tell what is available than look at the menu. A real let down!! The picture is the hand battered Atlantic Cod, £12.49 plus 50p each for the scampi. By the time the batter was removed the bit of cod was very small, having been told that this was going to be a large piece of fish, the reality was laughable. Better value at a chip shop!!

What an amazing place! This is the place where my Grandparents met so I was checking it out and the staff made the experience that much better. Great service and friendly smiles matched with great food and beer. I had their chicken and truffle BLT and it was so good. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Nice pub / restaurant serving good food and drinks. Located in the middle of a residential area but still managed to provide large private parking for customers. Dog friendly pub with fenced outside seating area and garden.Old style furnishings and features inside to match the name and ambience of this spacious eating and drinking house. Our large group visited on a weekday evening after a wet muddy run and we were made to feel very welcome. Particularly good pint of Waddingtons 6 X and friendly attentive staff who looked after us well.

Had a lovely meal the night before my birthday last week . Staff were attentive and lovely and happy 😊. Food was delicious and service was excellent Xx

The pub itself is really nice - decent decor and super friendly staff. We had a starter board with seafood and kebabs and it was really yummy. However the mains not so much. Hunters chicken and the pie were really dry and the veg looked and tasted like the frozen bag you get from the supermarket. The steak was cooked perfectly - medium rare - but the steak itself was ropey and chewy - a cheap cut. The Mac cheese was a disaster. Mushy and starchy. Not sure how you even get Mac cheese like that? The one thing that made my night was the fact the toilet door was so close to the toilet - you had to straddle the toilet to shut the door! No fatty puffs going toilet in here!

Really disappointed, food poor and service so slow Could of had a better burger at a road side greasy spoon for 1/4 of price! Lettuce and salad well past sell by. Shame as actual pub and decor is good.

What can I say? Absolutely fabulous little pub. I attended solo and was very impressed with the service I received.Personal preference, I wasn't a fan of the sauce that comes with the garlic mushrooms but other than that, delicious. The dishes that I ordered were both from the non gluten menu.I then ordered ice cream and the chef asked the waiter to check that I don't have an allergy to the gluten as the Eton mess contains gluten.Very speedy work, efficient and clearly know the standards of food hygiene, health and safety.I'm extremely impressed and felt very welcome in this place.100% you should attend and enjoy :)
