We had a family room but it was very noisy from surrounding rooms up until 11pm and then started again at 7am. Not the best with young children.Contact with staff was minimal. Literally only saw staff to check in and out and conversation was only to get directions to the room.Location is beautiful and perfect for our stay. Was lovely having a pool and the kids really enjoy having a splash around in the evening. Cleanliness around the pool & changing wasn't great but pool towels were available.

Lovely location. The staff are lovely and polite. Our room was fresh and airy considering the hot weather we are experiencing. Beautiful view from our room windows across the fields and trees. The meals were fine. We had one disappointing dish. The butternut squash. It went back. However the waiter resolved the issue with no fuss at all. Dining outside was perfect. Nice little swimming pool ideal to relax in. All in all I would say good value for money. It’s not the chewton Glenn. But they’re not trying to be. The flowers and champagne were in our room as requested along with a welcoming note and chocolates for our anniversary. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Staff weren't very helpful didnt seem to no what they were doing, meal was served so slow guest were complain and children were getting restless. Family room was meant to have four beds for children only had two, had to get more beds and make them ourselves at midnight, couldn't get ground floor room but was told there was a lift, but it only went to second floor at other end of building so had to walk the rest with my disabilities. Cooked breakfast seemed like it was hours old and warmed up in microwave. Hotel looked nice but that was it wouldn't go there again. Totally ruined my son's wedding, too many negatives.

As a young family we had this is a great hotel to stay at, our room had a bunkbeds for the kids and a nice size double be, with lots of room. staff made use feel very welcomed, evening meals were delicious along with breakfast, loads of parking, swimming pool was small but the kids had fun, loads of grounds too the kid to run wild will defiantly come back again.

Found the room a little warm, having said that there was a fan to cool it down. Pool is OK but need a little TLC, clean tho and quite bright. It's a little to far from town to walk but you can get a taxi reasonably quickly. Over all nice place.Rooms: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 4/5 …More

So when we first arrived at Bartley lodge we was very impressed with the look of the building and how grand it looks. But when we got inside that soon changed. The staff are miserable and the room was awful there are cobwebs everywhere the toilet didn’t flush well the shower handle fell off. The complimentary biscuits in room had been half eaten and there were holes in the wardrobe. We then got a shock as to how much the drinks were and then when we sat down for dinner the food was awful. We left early the following morning as we was not going to have breakfast and for £20 ahead I was not paying that. . I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. And we were not the only complaint that morning. 🤬

We were gifted vouchers to stay at this hotel as a wedding present. We had a lovely time, we had to rebook a couple of times due to my wife being in hospital and the reservations team were understanding and very helpful. We finally stayed there last night and had a really nice time, they staff couldn't of been more helpful and the food was really good, we had dinner, breakfast and afternoon tea which were all lovely. Nothing was a problem and the waiter even made my wife a cocktail that was not listed on the menu. A perfect stay!

We came here for afternoon tea. Beautiful setting and it was a lovely day so my granddaughters enjoyed the garden. The afternoon tea was lovely but definitely not enough food for 4 adults. One finger sandwich per person is a little miserly but the scones and cakes were delicious.Service was lacking and we really didn't feel 'looked after' but we did enjoy our visit.

Very beautiful hotel in wonderful location. Room had an odd odour to it that was soon rectified by opening the window. Pool area was a little disappointing as told towels and changing available. We arrived late in the evening and no towels available and the changing room area was flooded with water. Breakfast was yummy and staff very friendly. Overall a lovely stay. Thank you

A very well presented, picturesque hotel on the edge of the New Forest. The building itself was beautiful with nice grounds surrounding. The staff were extremely polite and accommodating from the day of booking and throughout our stay.Extra requests were met without any hesitation, so another thank you to the Receptionist and Florest for the rose petals left trailing to and on the bed.Very quite and comfortable nights sleep. We did not try the food however the bar is well equipped and the pool was nice, a little more intimate than most larger pools.Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay here and will not hesitate to use again when we are in the area.
