My daughter booked this as a treat for myself and my mum seeing as it's the first mothers day in 2 years we could be together. After all this time you would think hospitality would be doing their best to get custom back. After today I will not be setting foot in here again. Filthy floor. Photo attached. Nothing from today's menu so not been cleaned today. Table moved from our original booking at 1pm to 3pm fair enough if that's what you need to cater. Arrived at 3. At 3.40 we eventually got our drinks after asking .. Never got the free drink for mothers day even though we were asked what we would like. No champagne glasses left so had to have prosecco in a red wine glasses. Chicken parfait!! Slab off pate with two slices of mothers pride badly toasted bread without the crusts taken off! By 4.30 we got our mains. Average roast if you like parsnips. No cauliflower cheese as advertised. Just very disappointed. Toilets no paper on any cubicals for ladies. I mentioned twice we didn't get our complimentary drink and I got told oh shame. When I paid I didn't pay for the drinks as I told the lady you who took the bill that was the least they could do for the upsetting day. She said they had told the management they were understaffed for today but they wouldn't listen. Well management start listening to your staff because you are in a prime position where you could charge what you want for good food and good service at the moment you have appalling service and mediocre food. Disgusted.

Great staff always making you feel welcome and always happy to help you. Door was great. We all had a great lunch. Would recommend the restaurants. The bar is nice too

It could do with good clean, new carpet being fitted in corridor but should be hovered between fitting.disdinct lack of attention to detail. Continental breakfast, half the menu not available and not fresh. Which ment we had to pay extra for full English. Not worth the money charged.

Didn’t stay. Just for lunch. Lamp rump overcooked and gristly. Both meals cold. How can you complain when grand-daughter has come for first visit for 3 years and this might be a final goodbye. Staff fine.

Treated my new husband to a night away to celebrate our wedding. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Had a lovely meal and drinks looking out onto the marina. My other half wanted a liqueur coffee that the staff hadn't made before and the staff looked it up, the other half said it was the best one he ever had.Thank you all for a lovely stay.

We are at the restaurant but we were rather underwhelmed at the service. It was quiet with only a few other diners yet the service received was almost non existent. We came in, sat down and no one came over to welcome us or provide menus. We eventually sought menus ourselves... And then no one came over to take our order... Despite several staff chatting between themselves. Eventually, I ordered the food at the bar. The food came out in reasonable time and was ok quality. Price wise, it was a bit steep and very poor children menu options. When it was time to leave, there was a complete absence of a thanks and bye. In short, ok food but I would have expected more service for the premium pricing.

A fantastic hotel, excellent food and drink, and reasonably priced, staff are lovely and so friendly too. Ideal location for exploring the stunning New Forest, as well as attractions in the New Forest. Gorgeous views across the marina and Southampton Water, and ideal for a trip to the Isle of Wight, from Lymington.

No-one welcoming on arrival. I had to wander in to seek out our party. Table service but go to the bar and queue if you want to buy drinks. Very sticky floor by the entrance and bar which actually damaged the sole of my shoes. Food was lovely - waitress didn't know whether my food was gluten free or not. It's a lovely place and nicely decorated.

As a response I would be happy to give you some more feedback to help you improve your restaurant/hotel. Firstly I'm not one to be bothered by swearing but your chefs seems to "burn" themselves a lot. I have been to the boathouse many times and recently in my opinion the standard off food has gone down. With that being underseasoned or not being up to its normal standard. By the other recent reviews I'm sure u have plenty off information on how to better your restaurant.

Had a meal here tonight. Such a lovely setting over looking a marina. Inside and outside seating. First was first class, fresh and reasonably priced for the area. Will definitely be going back there.
