fishermans rest lymington in New Forest

After being turned down flat at two pubs in Lymington we stumbled across this pub tonight, I so glad we did. Myself, my son and daughter in law to be, Also with two dogs were welcomed In and after a bit of "rejigging" they sat us down comfortably. The food was amazing, the service was lovely and they were all so nice. We had a lovely 3 course, "home cooked pub food" the salt and pepper squid was cooked to perfection the 10 oz rump was perfectly cooked and the pudding , wild Berry mess and chocolate brownie was just amazing. Thank you so much for having us. We stay just down the road every month. Your pub is now our first choice when coming to stay

Dead impressed - Hadn’t booked but they made room for me to have a meal before another table arrived! Excellent service! Highly recommend the burger and peroni beer!

My wife and I went for Sunday beef roast and were delighted with the ambiance, service and food. Highly recommended! We will visit again soon. Please note that roast Lamb was not on the menu although their website states it is!

Great atmosphere and amazing food. We had the fish and chips and the orange duck and both dishes were really tasty. Deserts looked really good as well but we were too full to give it a try. The owner and everyone working there were really nice and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Sailing Spook Lymington Yacht charters. Always recommend the Fishermans Rest to our guests when they are staying in Lymington for the night. Very good food, decent prices and super nice staff. Excellent place to eat. Give it a go.

Very happy to have received a recommendation to eat here! Great atmosphere & wonderful food. The staff were friendly, courteous and professional. With a good selection from the bar, we enjoyed a fantastic evening and look forward to returning in future.

Wow yet again set in lovely picturesque setting of the New Forest, lovely warm welcoming cosy ambiance place to come and relax or to wine and dine, the staff here are lovely, especially the landlady, who welcomes you personally and engages in conversation and asks where your from, what your stay has been like, she also has knowledge of the local area and surrounding places to visit which was very useful at the time.You will have a lovely time here relaxing, and or enjoying an evening meal or lunch with friends HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for a visit which you will totally enjoy.

What an amzing hidden gem, food is absolutely breathtaking, from starters to mains just symphony of flavours, smoked mackerel salad for starter with nice twist of red pickled onion, main crab... How stunning was that, could of have another.Place looks really good and service is great, we sat outside and would suspect abit of green hand person touch as garden looks stunning so many flowers and greenery, tooks loads pictures. In general definitely worth visiting just book in advance
