Haven Bistro in New Forest

I have to say hate giving this place a bad review.....BUT .... This is one of our favourite treats for special occasions. My wonderful partner booked for my birthday on 4 March, and the evening started off perfectly. Food is always good. Unfortunately, on this occasion, we had out starters and then asked the lady who looked like she was in charge if it was okay to pop out or a breather, and she said, of course. When we returned, our drinks and table had been completely cleared.I work in the industry and have to say if I was at fault and removed everything I would make sure to replace it all with new stock...The fact a £25.00 bottle of wine with less than a glass out of was put to the bar for throw away.. been there for a while and then returned to our table, is disgusting with used glasses . Very unprofessional as well as unhygienic in the current climate for this type of establishment.

First time back there for 10years. Lovely outside space, really good food and very friendly staff. A great view too.

Stumbled upon this incredible restaurant by chance on a day trip to Lymington and managed to get a walk in table for 2 in the beautiful dining room with panoramic views.The service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. The restaurant itself was full on a Wednesday lunchtime in February, which speaks for itself. We very much hope to return.

Fantastic place to eat. On holiday near by and came here on for lunch. I have to say I'll be coming back again, the customer service was friendly and super helpful with our little girl.The food was delicious, generous portions - these photos don't do it justice.

The ambience, staff and food..... in a word, superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals here and dog friendly too. Fish n chips never tasted so good, fish curry, and hake. To finish, sticky toffee pudding and a wonderful passion fruit tart. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic place. We were too late for food but they did offer us some chips. Great as they did not need to do that. They explained that they had stopped food due to there being afternoon music, which was a great surprise to us, and well worth waiting to see the guy too. If ever down south again would definitely go back. Thank you for making Mum, and I feel welcome.

Located down in the quayside in Lymington, with partial views around the quayside. Plenty of seating inside and out. Good selection of light bites, starters, mains and desserts. Prompt good service, tasty food.The only issue was a number of flies in the restaurant that constantly bothered you when eating (otherwise would have given a 5*) another nice touch would reduce the lighting inside to make it a bit more personal and romantic.However definitely worth a visit.

Lovely waterside restaurant with great views and great value delicious food. The portions were enormous. The staff were all welcoming, professional and attentive, even to the dog. We were lucky and managed to get a table despite not booking although it was pretty busy at lunch so I would advise booking particularly for the evenings when I imagine it gets really busy!

We topped off a lovely dog walk around the sea wall the other night with an aperol & cider at the Haven. We were given such a lovely warm welcome, even the dog. Shown to a table on the terrace, which we were lucky to get, it was busy and we hadn't booked. I just wish we'd planned ourselves better and booked a table for food. I know it's delicious from previous visits. The Haven team are always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Thanks team, we'll be back again soon.

The Haven Bar and Restaurant not only has an enviable location nestled amongst the marina yachts but offers excellent food and service.On my visit I had oysters, white bait, dressed crab and panna cotta - all were excellent.The staff were really helpful and polite and always around when needed. And finally - a fine selection of drinks available.Overall I would thoroughly recommend.
