Went there for a Valentine's Day treat. The set menu was good and my partner has certain dietary requirements so they made a starter that my partner could eat. The food was very tasty and the presentation was 10/10 couldn't fault any of it. The service was prompt and friendly and I would highly recommend this restaurant if you wanted to treat yourself to something amazing. 5 stars from me.

First class service. Duck and beef both excellent, great starters and puds. Great value. Perfect end to our (far too short) stay in Lymington. Thank you Nicola and Peter.

The food was very good, a 3 course meal with drinks is about £50 per head and thus represents really good value. The chef introduced himself at the table and I thought this was a really nice touch. I would highly recommend this restaurant

Very nice food. Excellent staff and overall a great experience. Could do with warming the restaurant slightly as several in our party were cold most of the night. Would still recommend for a good night out in Lymington.

Visited Lanes of Lymington restaurant on 1st July and it was very good. Visited again for lunch on 29th October when we spent a few days in the New Forest. Again everything about the food, the service and the place itself were all perfect. As I said in July, 'If this restaurant was nearer to where we live we would be there every other day.Currently the best and our favourite restaurant. A hidden gem that we thoroughly recommend.

A Hidden Gem We visited Lanes to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Great service and excellent food. Comes highly recommended from us. What you see from the outside does not represent what you will experience inside.

An excellent restaurant tucked away down a nice lane off the high street. Upmarket but certainly not stuffy feeling.I could have picked so many dishes from the menu but settled on king scallop & tiger prawns followed by monkfish tail. Both excellent. Chris’ medallions of beef fillet were incredible - would pick this next time. For dessert the frozen peanut butter pie went down a treat. If I have one criticism it’s that the portion sizes were too small, particularly for mains.Has a wonderful wine list. We had the Bush Vine Pinotage which was outstanding, and the Terres Blanches Sancerre which I’d also recommend. The building itself is lovely too: various seating areas, high ceilings with exposed wooden beams and an indoor balcony.

Lovely place. Run by husband and wife team who work tirelessly to give you a great dining experience. Set on different levels you can achieve seclusion if you want for business or a Deux but open tables are also put together for celebrations. They have set 2 course, 3 course menus or a la carte. Presentation is a delight and the portions are more than adequate. Went for a Birthday lunch and they even presented guest with a beautifully designed creation at the end of the meal!

Excellent food with great presentation. Good and friendly service with reasonable prices. My only very small criticism is that some of the facilities could do with a spruce up but this should in no way put you off going. Again the food is great. I highly recommend it.
