Where is Milton Barns?

🏠 Gore Rd, New Milton BH25 6SJ

"The Barn. Uniquely situated just 5 minutes from Highcliffe’s wide sandy beach and the New Forest national park. The Grade II listed building built in 1833 is a superb conversion of a former barn, with exposed brickwork, and spectacular exposed redwood beams, purlins, and rafters. Furniture is modern and elegant. There is an interesting menu to suit all tastes and budgets. Accommodation bedrooms (all on the ground floor) are mostly set around a courtyard with a flowing fountain, with an orangery which is available for all types of functions including meeting and banquet facilities and evening entertaintment and relaxed afternoon tea or cream teas. Free Wi-Fi is available as expected with a large free car park."

Had a wonderful stay here ❤. We were attending a wedding so booked two nights .it was perfect for the church Mary Magdelene and such a relaxing place .The staff were wonderful with my 6 year old son and he loved the toast machine when we went for breakfast 😀.He had an unsettled night on the first evening and a bit of an accident but the staff were wonderful with him and the room was changed without fuss.Special mention to the amazing room staff and Tammy and May

Nice place, bit out of the way location though! Excellent value for money £69 for family room including lovely breakfast. Only let down was my seafood linguine! Not much seafood, a bit of Salmon; no prawns ! And was stodgy.

My husband and I visited The Barn just before Christmas and really enjoyed our lunch so returned again last week to find that it is no longer an Italian restaurant! It now serves pub food (change of chef, I presume). We enjoyed our burgers but are disappointed that it is no longer an Italian restaurant.

Lovely staff. Nice big room. Clean as a whistle. Generous toiletries, tea and biscuits in room. Easy parking. Great location. Breakfast not brilliant, we understand the problems of recruiting chefs, and we like a continental breakfast but the croissants were not nice, and the toast, jam and honey not decent quality. The fruit and yoghurt were fabulous though, and the tea and coffee great.

Just want to say a MASSIVE thank you too everyone at The Barn for a most wonderful Christmas Day lunch. We honestly cannot fault a thing, from the moment we arrived to when we left. The food was amazing, every single course perfect and the service was just fabulous. The décor was very beautiful too. Thank you all 🎄

Went here for Sunday lunch, and we were really pleased we did, the place looks lovely, very nice inside, pleasant staff, and very informative owner. We ordered from the lunchtime special menu, went for two courses each, starter and main for only £15.95, very good value, the food was great, both went for prawn cocktail which was lovely. For mains my partner went for turkey and I went for beef, both of which were really nice, plenty on the plate, and accompanied with plate of veg and pot of gravey, everything great, although we had to ask for more gravey, but that was no problem, all in all a great meal, would definitely be going back for seconds.

Had a funeral wake here. Very nice place and lovely staff. Lunch was prepared as a buffet and it was very good. They also have a good italian menu. Parking at rear so convenient.

Quite alot of "rebrandings" over the years. Should stick to good quality breakfast and pub food. Music very sombre. And staff never come back to ask if you'd like anything else once a drink is empty etc. Probably cause some lost sales there! Certainly from me.Food and drinks are really good at the moment

We booked a table weeks ago for our staff Christmas meal and was really disappointed. We were told on arrival it wasn't a xmas menu as expected as we hadn't preordered. We were never told this at booking or contacted at anytime to be informed of this. We ordered from the very plain and boring normal menu and waited about an hour and a half for our food!! It took so long to even take our order we all decided to not have starters as it would just delay things. The food and service was awful...

The food was lovely as was the staff but it lacked atmosphere as not many people in and no background music. We also felt that as we had been there quite a long time, even though we had a main meal and a soft drink, that we should leave, which we did.
