A lesson for them tonight. The staff were struggling in the kitchen. What they should have done straight away is to set expectations when we arrived and said that food was taking a long time. Took well over an hour for some pizza and a steak. The Steak was excellent, perfectly cooked, well done. However that was the only good thing. The BBQ pizza was on a tomato base and bland, the kids pizzas were burnt and the onion and tomato salad wasn't dressed at all all, just chucked in a bowl. They took two dishes off the bill and left. It's a great location just outside Paultons, but perhaps drive a bit further for somewhere better.

Went here for Mothers Day. The food was very good, and generous potions, with a large selection of different dishes. In fact, the variety was huge! The staff were friendly and as there was a vegan on the next table, very accommodating. It is also dog friendly, if you have one. Not sure about cats.

Had Sunday lunch and all choose a roast. Delicious, plenty of meat, choose of veg, all very tasty and fresh. Roast potatoes were fluffy and crisp. Didn't taste platted in advance. Staff all very friendly, would highly recommend.

What an absolutely great find, right next to Paultons Park!We had a fantastic meal here, the food was sublime, especially the Fillet steak I had. My other half loved the Duck with Noodles and veg, and the kids pizza was fantastic too!Lovely setting in a lovely looking Inn, with great, friendly staff to boot!

Perhaps just a bad day. The pub looks fab, nice old world feel. But the same 3 Neil Diamond songs playing on loop set the tone for a frustrating experience. The roast beef was chewy and the roast potatoes disappointing; the crispy duck wasn't, the stir fried vegetables were just limp peppers and mushrooms. Extremely disappointing.

We stayed the night and were made to feel very welcome, even our dog. The room was really spacious, although the bathroom was a slightly odd shape which made the space for the toilet a little tight, but I'm nitpicking. Overall the room was really comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast too and the food was excellent. They have a great selection of gin too to go with your evening. The staff were fantastic too. Our dog was a bit overly defensive at times but the staff understood and were really accommodating. I want to call out Sarah in particular, she dealt with a few issues we had with nothing but a smile, and gave us great service throughout our stay.

Very friendly welcome from staff Tina and Sarah. It was a small party for a 93 yr old and there was balloons, banners with s present and card for her on the table. The atmosphere was upbeat with the help of the two ladies mentioned. We'll go back again definitely

Great Food! After a shocking experience at the restaurant attached to the Premier Inn the Mortimer Arms was reccomend by a Premier Inn member of staff.Food was great, restaurant was great very good and would recommend. You may have to book your table online, I'm not sure if you can walk in, but i dont think that's an issue now as covid fades away.Would I recommend and visit again YES!Friendly happy staff.

Food was ok, wet both had a pork roast! Would I return probably not, our 2 year old had cheesy Mac which came with a drink and an ice cream included which was £9.99, service not great! The pub was not that busy and the waitress kept saying I'll be with you in a minute "love" I'm not her love nor do I wish to be spoken to that way, I understand she is being friendly but that is not professional, 3 times I saw the waitress talking to the bar staff laughing and chatting on one occasion she walked straight past is hand up saying I'll be with you in a minute walked straight to the bar and started chatting. Very unprofessional.! One of the bar staff the singer was very professional she straight away showed us to the table got our 2 year old some crayons and paper to play with. I had to go the bar at the end to pay as I was not prepared to wait any longer for the bill. The pub itself is lovely some staff are good others not so. Food mediocre.

Dropped in without a booking on a bank holiday weekend + the lovely staff managed to fit us in - table for two.I felt really self conscious as temporarily have restrictions on what I can eat-this was not a problem + the lovely staff recommended an adjustment to one of their dishes.Beautifully presented + scrumptious.Lovely clean pub with a lovely garden.Dogs are made very welcome as are families.Would definitely recommend a visit here.
