Old Farmhouse - Hungry Horse in New Forest

Amazing service, food is amazing and really cheap! Had a lovely meal and drinks for the evening with my girlfriends and I've never felt more welcomed by the staff, they were super friendly and were cracking jokes with us all night! Hats off to Billy, josie and ethan. Will definitely be returning for rock and roll bingo on Thursday!

Popped in for lunch the Monday and I was served by a girl called Holly. She was polite and friendly, made sure I had everything I needed to go with my meal. She made the drink I had perfectly and made sure to ask if I wanted ice and a slice. Food was tasty chips were a little overdone but still all round was great. Will be back soon

Went in yesterday lunch and it was really busy with tables and only 2 staff members on which really wasn’t enough considering the amount of people in there. They made it look easy though and did everything brilliantly hats off to them they’re a credit to the team. Food was good as well shame there wasn’t any fish but we had an alternative. Will be back thank you ☺️

Visited the old farmhouse on Wednesday day time, it was busier than usual but with it being half term it’s what we expected. A lovely lady (all and had dark ginger hair ) greeted us with a smile and asked if we had made a booking which we hadn’t, she had a quick look around the restaurant and said there’s a table at the back which she will have to wipe over quickly before we can sit down. She did that, then got a cutlery bucket and took us to be seated. She said that there was unfortunately no fish or halloumi on the menu today, which didn’t bother us and said that when we are ready to order we could either use the app or come to the bar to do our order. She and the man she was working with they were both some of the nicest people in the hospitality trade we’ve met, the food was amazing and we will definitely be returning soon because of them!

Very disappointed have eaten here many times and not had a complaint, but this week myself and a freind ordered the 12oz steaks (medium rare)!! They came out medium to well done. I returned mine and a fresh steak was cooked - this time it was even worse, the gentleman that took my steak back to the kitchen (dark hair and beard) absolutely avoided eye contact with us, we noticed he was asking at almost all the other tables if all was OK with their food but so obviously ignored us. Anyway I wrapped the steak up to take home for the dog and as we left I did make a point of approaching this same member of staff and showing him the steak- he said 'oh sorry about that' and that was thatThe lady behind the till with glasses was very pleasant, polite and sympathetic. The gentleman needs to polish up his customer service skills and the chef needs to know what medium/rare isTo overcook once ok - but to do it twice??!!!!Oh and the coffee machine was out of order last week - and its still out of order this weekI think this place is going down hill and it's sad

Went into the farmhouse yesterday evening at around 6:30pm when I was fairly busy. We were greeted by a lovely lady I think her name was Holly if I remember rightly from when I was up at the till. She asked if we had made a booking which we hadn’t, but she managed to find a table to squeeze us in. She sat us down and said to us that they had unfortunately run out of a few items throughout the day including the roast dinners…which didn’t matter to us, she said whenever we were ready to order to come up to the bar and she will be there to help. The food was great and the service was too. We will definitely be returning

Pleasant family pub, very friendly staff and quick service. Hungry Horse chain know for large potions and good value, ideal for family or a relaxed meal with pals.Would say because of the the time you go can impact how long you wait and maybe the quality of the food slightly, but not you wouldn't expect at this price range. 4.5 out of 5

Possibly the best pub food I've ever had, and a great price too. Lovely atmosphere, ample parking, helpful staff. Has a gluten free menu available

One of my all time favourite pubs, staff are so friendly and the environment is very welcoming. Ethan and Josie are great servers and are always so quick to help. Definitely recommend.
