Stayed in room number one. Good room plenty of space, nicely furnished big walk in shower. Complimentary tea and coffee using first class ingredients. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Staff friendly and professional. Breakfast was very good. Enjoyable stay

Amazing rooms, lovely welcome. The meal in the pub was georgeous & staff, so sweet. Breakfast was yummy, thanks for looking after my fussy lad, & thanks for the Bench suggestion, amazing area.

Booked last minute for an overnight stay. Little gem of a place. Food and drink delicious, fantastic room, lovely bathroom with roll-top bath. Staff friendly polite and approachable. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely little pub. Has a nice atmosphere and a good selection of drinks. Food looked and smelled really good, will try it next time I’m in.

We came here for a roast dinner and was a little underwhelmed to be honest. I've had a lot better. The meat was very chewy, could have done with a steak knife. The potatoes didn't look like they'd seen the inside of the oven & the Yorkshire pudding was extremely greasy, I literally squeezed so much oil out of mine.I would go back, just not for a roast. It's a lovely pub, perfect place to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon.

I had the trio roast. The beef was very tasty. The Yorkshire pudding excellent. The pork was quite fatty. But overall I enjoyed it. I had the apple and blackberry crumble for dessert, it was amazing. A very generous serving, I'd highly recommend it.

Really nice surrounding area. Pud and guest house has lots of character, very nice place to stay. Dog friendly. The staff were very friendly and inviting. The only thing that let it down slightly was the food, I expected more (better quality) for what I was paying.

Lovely pub with accommodation. Have stayed before, but things had changed a bit. Still lovely. Rooms are quite big with tea & coffee in room. Breakfast served in the pub.

I have eaten at the Pub several times and my review would normally be excellent. However yesterday my family and myself had Sunday Lunch and it was better than excellent. The Food was the best we have tasted in years . The Staff were Premier League Quality . Our family included my 12 year old grandson and he thought the same . Well done Team Pilgrim

Plenty of car parking and uncluttered bar comfortable seating area for drink and food.Did not use the restaurant side for eating. Reasonable prices and restricted menu. What appeared to be new staff with welcome and helpful approach.Had pie of day with mash and tasty wine gravy.Shame the chicken, ham and leek pie appears to be bought in not homemade but tasty. Small point but no staff checked with us the meals were ok. Other than that, had a good visit to pilgrim and would recommend it for sociable visit for both drinks and food.
