Restaurant at Rhinefield House in New Forest

Visited to scope out for daughter's wedding next year. Staff friendly, polite and helpful. Hotel situated in New Forest surrounded by some impressive giant redwood trees too. From what I've experienced do far, a nice quiet hotel to get away from it all

In contrast to the formal, grand, somewhat decadent restaurant, the bar is also a really pleasant comfy place to have lunch with views overlooking the stunning grounds. The conservatory has a trendy bistro vibe, also with fab views over the grounds with lakes and fountains. It's just a beautiful historic hotel.

It's an absolutely stunning hotel, however I wouldn't say the rooms are anything particularly special. The prices are exorbitant in every respect. You are paying for the beautiful grounds and the look of the place. The full English breakfast was pretty tasty but smaller than I expected and something disagreed with me from it. The leisure facilities were clean. The steam room was poor in that you only felt the steam when you were standing up. The sauna on the other hand was the opposite in it being too hot. The indoor pool was small. The jacuzzi was probably the best bit. The customer service was very good, however there was a particularly rude waitress who was taking drinks away before they were anywhere close to being finished - which is very poor especially when they charge so much for them!

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and what a beautiful place this is, right in the country side, with really nice walks around the grounds we could see deer and other wildlife on the grounds, with lovely water features, ponds and Archutecture of this place is a delight. We had a 3 course afternoon tea and it was really different to the usual afternoon tea you get. even our 3 year old daughter loved the experience, the staff made us feel welcoming and enjoyed the whole experience, we will definitely be looking to stay here in the future

Location is excellent: in the heart of the New Forest with good access to all the main attractions. Also within a beautiful woods, if staying within the area. Service was exceptional. We were especially made to feel welcomed and looked after by the waiter Angel. Angel made our dining feel special, and we went back to the same restaurant because of his hospitality. Only negative maybe is the spa area is a little small and restricted in space, however, they have done well to fit the facilities with that space. Our kids made use of the pool and had a great time nonetheless. A big thank you to all the staff. We made an impulsive booking as our trip to Singapore was cancelled and we had no regrets. We will be back.

Attended a wedding at the Rhinefield and stayed overnight.They've done this before, you can tell!Beautiful location in the New Forest surrounded by countryside. The hotel itself is imposing as you go up the drive, as soon as you walk in you can tell it is something special. Food, service and rooms all excellent. Can throughly recommend

I was there for afternoon tea a few days ago and I must say it was such a pleasant experience. It was worth every penny. The decor, ambience and the food was just amazing. The service received from Louie was remarkable. He clearly explained every course and what it contained and also catered to my dietary requirements too. All in all a wonderful experience. Will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely food , service , room , grounds , bar waiter . However it would have been nice for someone to have offered to take our suitcases to our room and after our 5 course meal at 9.30 pm there was not one fire Lit in the building . We asked a member and were told she was too busy too light any of the open fires . We were disappointed as this was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel for the historic atmosphere and to sit by a real fire . It was 1 degree outside , and apparently the fires are only lit when cold ! Other than that we had a lovely time .

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the New Forest. It was our son's wedding venue and we had excellent service. The wedding breakfast was served without any tables having to wait. All staff were polite and helpful. The rooms are individual and in keeping with the hotel. Breakfast the next day was great with each breakfast cooked individually. Would definitely recommend.

Very relaxing. Beautiful settings, throughout the Hotel. Spacious bedrooms, comfy bed, heating and air con which put us in complete control of the temperature. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Food is absolutely delicious. Good champagne, fine selection of wines and spirits. It is in the New Forest and has a selections of trails, beautiful scenery and awe-inspiring giant trees. In the bar you can relax beside the fire or at one of the window tables. Loved it.
