Tails 2 in New Forest

Just moved nearby. The first time we tried it it was really poor. The quality was low however we thought we just had a bad experience. If you really think this quality then try the others in hythe. Only a few minutes further. Tried again tonight and it was worse. We were offered two pies because one was burned. The chips were a mixture of uncooked and overcooked soggy mush. Certainly will not give them a third chance. A few extra minutes drive and the quality trebles. On the up side the service was friendly but the quality needs to improve.

Ordered chicken burger it was over processed and did not taste nice at all the oil used to cook the chips tasted really bad and woman on the till was rude. Not recommend

Lovely fish and chips, huge portions. Girls really friendly and helpful. Definitely will be going back. :)

Had a really nice takeaway from here. The portions was the biggest I think I have ever seen. Prices reasonable. Food really tasty and hot. Will definitely return. Only problem is I have tried once but the opening times seem a bit hit or miss

Beautiful fish and chips-- big portions-- and the spam fritters and fishcakes were the best we've tasted in a long time - will definitely use more often-- people behind counter were nice and friendly and had a laugh with them

Just been reading some reviews and laughing; be sensible people. Great local chippy, never go anywhere else for years now. Food good, staff polite. If you have a problem tell them there and then, I'm sure it will be sorted! Be real, decent people making a living......

Was in the area and not tried before, was ok but the chips werent for me, quite soggy, and had a couple of hairs in there to boot. Fish was nice but sausages were quite weird tasting. So good but not great imo

Best Fish & Chips in the area.Excellent value for money and staff are always smiling.Guaranteed consistency- never had a poor meal. Highly recommended

Just want to say thanks to a great team.who have always welcomed.me, my family and friends with a.smile and interest in our day.This fish and chip shops feels like going back to a time when people actually enjoyed making you feel welcomed.The service is always outstanding and the food has always been of a high quality and tastes great.I have used this place on many occasions and would now not ho to any other fish and chip shop.I would recommend any local or tourist to take the time to visit Tails 2 and be taken back to a time when people liked to speak.Thanks.guys and girlsAdi

The chips are good and the batter is crispy on the fish. The portions are really big an extra large chips is enough for 4. The staff in here are also really friendly. Can't asj for more, really good chippy!
