The Angel & Blue Pig in New Forest

Monday night dinner. Food delicious and staff very attentive. Had the amazing haddock scotch egg, yummy and then the sausages and the chicken pie, everything was so tasty. Definitely coming back .

It was our first time at the Angel & Blue Pig tonight and we will definitely be returning. The food and service were absolutely excellent. We had the beetroot hummus pastry starter, the haddock scotch egg and two beef roasts with a sticky toffee pudding to finish. The food was presented beautifully and was all delicious. It was the best roast my boyfriend and I have had for a long time! The restaurant itself is lovely and cosy and we were so impressed with the friendly service from Spencer. The food was amazing and the service was even better! Thank you so much for a lovely evening and we will definitely be returning.

Just had a two night break here. The room was very comfortable and the bed was excellent. Very good breakfast, recommend the poached eggs. All the staff were very friendly and professional, nothing was to much trouble. A big thank you to Tracy, the supervisor who went the extra mile for us. Highly recommend and will be back

An amazing first time away with our dog Rio.All the staff were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much to trouble. The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. The food was absolutely outstanding. We loved the atmosphere in the bar area. Absolutely loved this place and the staff. Thanks for making our first time away with our puppy Rio so wonderful xx

I spent two nights here while travelling with work, and it was a really lovely place to stay. My room was quiet and comfortable with some lovely home touches, and the breakfast was delicious. The stand out for me was the staff - everyone was so friendly and couldn't do enough to help me. They were incredibly accommodating and made my stay an absolute pleasure. I will definitely be back!

The restaurant itself is attractive and comfortable but lacked atmosphere. Our disappointment is aimed at not being able to swap around the food offerings. For example, I'm lactose intolerant and fancied one of the pork dishes. The vegetables offered had dairy in them, I asked to swap out for either a salad or other vegetables. This wasn't an option!!. My partner wanted to swap his vegetable offering for his dish. Again, we were informed this wouldn't be possible.I had the fish & chips and was able to swap the chips for sweet potato fries, which was a bonus.We have since eaten at the Monkey Brewhouse where it was a buzzing atmosphere and we had no problem in swapping around the vegetable offerings with the dishes we wanted.We've not experienced being told what to eat before which we find strange!! We will think again before visiting the Angel & Blue Pig. Did we pick an 'off' night?

Well recommended place discovered on our first visit & returned back on our last night! Scrumptious meals all around especially the Chicken Ham Hock & Pea Pie! Service excellent also from our Polish waiter....keep up the good work....look forward to seeing you again!

Had lunch here today with my parents and 4yo and it we all thought it was outstanding. I had the veggie roast which was hands down the best roast I've ever had, parents meals were equally delicious but their own admissions and all agreed absolutly nothing to fault. Very reasonably priced and quick service. Will 100% be back!

Tue streak half price, good cut of sirloin a d medium rare does come in medium rare, shame some of the veg sides was not available, and the pie was too watery, but overall it was good food and nice decor

Popped in for lunch during a day visit. I think they were under pressure that day. As there was a small wait for food. The staff seemed quite stressed out, but remained friendly and helpful. Nice diverse menu. And the food was of a good standard. Would go back to eat again.
