Great food and service, a very efficiently run place. The homemade pie was delicious and the desserts great too. The interior is very bland which is a shame considering that every thing else was really good.

We had an hour's wait for our food. But there were two large parties in that night. My chicken curry was very nice. The vegetables with two of the dishes was soggy and over cooked which was a shame. They seemed understaffed, but the waitesses worked very hard and as efficiently as they could.Might go back on a quieter night.

Great local pub full of characters, not for the faint hearted. Food was brilliant, good old English fayre cooked superbly. See ya again soon.

·

Food not bad, cleanliness leaves a bit to be desired. Lamp on our table had dead fly and lots of dust in it. Cobwebs on lights, windowsill next to our table very dirty.

Great local pub. Very friendly staff and customers. The food is superb. Proper pies, great pizza and a varied menu.

We were visiting the area and we decided that the reviews and menu for The Carpenter's Arms meant it was worth a visit. We arrived to a warm welcome and despite the fact that they had a very busy restaurant inc. a large party in their function room, the staff were very polite and attentive. We had to wait for a bit for our Food to arrive, but that was hardly surprising considering the amount of people there. However it was well worth the wait! The quality of food was excellent and was very tasty.Highly recommended and will visit again if in the area!

Really lovely home cooked meal, especially the butternut squash filo pasty dish! Very nice staff, very good pricing and friendly relaxed atmosphere We look forward to our next visit

Excellent place to eat and drink. The interior looks freshly decorated and there is a very nice outside area to sit and have a meal or drink. Food is very good and at average pub prices (cod, chips & peas at £12.50 and a really excellent range of ice cream sundaes at £5 each). Service was very good, especially as it was busy when we visited.

We had a fabulous meal in the Carpenters as always the other night. Steak and mushroom pie was delicious! My Dad had the gammon, egg and chips and he said it was the best he’d ever had! Apple pie was amazing too. The staff are always so pleasant and accommodating. Best local pub in our opinion. Well done! We’ve booked the function room for our sons 21st and we can’t wait!

Service and food both very good. Defo a good place to visit. Oh ye and the IPA was excellent. The only downside was the haunted tree in the beer garden. Well make your own judgement!
