Excellent gastropub in a beautiful location, with amazing food and friendly atmosphere.The place is so nice, clean and comfortable, the service is friendly and instantly makes you feel relaxed and welcomed.The food is great and honest, the kind that makes you want to come back for more: good quality ingredients cooked skilfully into very fine, well balanced and tasty dishes, quite beyond pub grub. (Spot on homemade chutney!)Many thanks for a brilliant evening and a great chat to the owners, an absolutely lovely Scottish couple with clear heads and warm hearts!

Great country pub. Had a very nice meal in the garden. Table service was excellent and the food was superb. Will definitely visit again when we're in the area.

Absolutely beautiful little pub. The staff were very friendly and fun and the food was not only presented beautifully it tasted wonderful 😋And on top of that very reasonably priced.

Really nice traditional Inn just up the road from where I live.Sad that Coronavirus put a stop to my visits.Next time I visit I will have a traditional English Curry if its on the menu else will have a traditional Sunday Roast.I look forward to seeing another band or singer in the garden and will pop a cork or two... Hic!

Super cod and chips and a good selection on menu. Friendly village pub which serves well presented food. Would return.

Lovely gastropub. Excellent service, with a good choice of vegetarian/vegan options on the menu. The food was delicious, but the pavlova was missing some textural balance

Visiting the Cartwheel Inn for lunch or dinner is a must, even if you have to travel out of your way. The menu offers something different, all freshly made food, with the sweets being something special. A pub with lovely atmosphere, helpful staff and our two dogs were made to feel very welcome. The best food of our stay in the New Forest.

Had lunch here and ate outside. The staff were all friendly and great covid precautions. We are vegetarians and we had enough to choose between. I particularly enjoyed the halloumi and garlic mushroom burger. We also had the camembert and tempura battered broccoli starters which were lovely. Dog friendly too. A lovely visit.

Two adults and 3 children went for mid week lunch. Lovely guest ale and soft drinks for kids whilst we waited for the delicious food which arrived piping hot and well presented. Polite courteous staff were very accomodating.

Very friendly staff, warm welcome. Lovely food, beautifully presented and very tasty. Was a busy Saturday night with the a packed pub but service was excellent. New VEGAN menu was tried out by our vegan daughter who was very complimentary about the variety of different options and the quality of the food. Recommended.
