Absolutely stunning hotel. What a joy it has been for us to stay here. Tim & Nicky were fantastic from the minute we arrived until we left. When we arrived we were told the new part of the hotel was now open & we were the first guests to stay in the hotel room & I can honestly say, it is beautiful! Will definitely be returning, thanks so much for a perfect break.

All of the staff were friendly and very accommodating. of my dietary needs.Our dog was given a welcome pack on arrival. which also contained a letter from the owners dog outlining do's and don'ts. He was also welcomed and acknowledged by every member of staff and received a sausage for breakfast everyday.The hotel was cleaned to a high standard and the room cleaned and restocked daily. It is the personal and thoughtful touches. that helped make our stay so enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be stopping there again.

We stayed in one of the new rooms. The room was a great size and had everything needed for a 3 night stay. The staff were very friendly and attentive, especially in the restaurant. The food was excellent and we will definitely be having another stay here.

Super friendly hotel in a perfect quiet location for visiting places around the New Forest. First time staying at a dog friendly hotel and we took our dogs. Very well catered for and they even got a doggy gift bag each from Roxy the resident dog 🐕. Stayed B&B but had a meal on our last night which was amazing. Oh and you can also buy the best ever fresh strawberries on the front green of the hotel!

What a lovely place with friendly staff. Rooms are clean and tidy and the beer and the food is great. Well located for visits and days out. Dogs are welcome and get a welcome pack when they arrive. We have been a few times but will definitely go again.

Warm friendly welcome, lovely little gift for our dog from Roxy the resident dog, which was a lovely touch. room was lovely, huge bed spotlessly clean fab storage.. food was superb, staff excellent and very accommodating nothing was too much trouble .. thankyou for a wonderful stay.

2 weekend stay at the Southlawn Hotel. The hotel is in a stunning location, a few minutes from seaside and lovely views across to the Isle of Wight. The staff are absolutely exemplary, the room provided everything we required for our short stay. The menu offered an excellent selection to choose from, and the bar is fully stocked. We have stayed at the South Lawn Hotel several times over the last few years, except during the pandemic of course. Our recent stay last weekend was just as good as previously. The hotel is lovely and full of character. It's in a peaceful location close to Milford on Sea and makes a great base for touring the area. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious with en suite, tv,fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The team are very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed and the hotel is dog friendly too. There is a comfortable lounge area and bar. They have an excellent restaurant called The Cedar Tree, which serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The atmosphere is relaxed and the menu varied with something for everyone, and they cater for people with special dietary needs as well. The food is delicious and reasonably priced with generous portions. The service is excellent and very efficient, yet friendly. The hotel has a meeting room and caters for weddings too. We always look forward to staying here and will most certainly return again and again. We highly recommend The South Lawn Hotel.

An enjoyable experience at the South Lawn. Good location. Receptionist was a little direct but effective at her job. Outside of rooms hotel looks a tad dated. Rooms very nice, furnished well, comfortable beds. The highlight of the stay was the restaurant, dinner and breakfast was very good with overall fantastic service. A pleasant overnight stay.
