The Filly Inn in New Forest

We have had the most lovely 3 night stay to celebrate our anniversary! Shaun & Sean, along with the rest of the team work hard to ensure their guests feel welcomed. And can enjoy excellent dining with a great choice of food and drink. We fully relaxed in their beautifully designed rooms, where every detail has been considered. And look forward to coming back!!

Beautifully refurbished inn, the food was excellent, but the service let it down. Took ages to get a drink once seated at table and although the waiter was very friendly, helpful and obviously was enjoying his job, a smile now and again from the waitress wouldn't have gone amiss. Really felt she didn't want to be there.

Came here for an evening meal. Service was great. Food was excellent, had chicken, ham and leek pie which was done beautifully and the gravy was amazing. Would definitely return and would recommend for a good hearty pub meal 😊

Very tasty food, Chicken strips, beef roast and sticky toffee pudding all excellent. Dog friendly in the restaurant with comfortable furnishings and setting. Service a little slow, having to ask a couple times for condiments and desert menus, and extra drinks on the bill that shouldn't have been.

Went on a Sunday with friends for a birthday. Lovely food, hot, total of 4 people ,had starters and mains plus 4 drinks each was £180. Food was delicious, sat in the bar area which was nice , dogs welcome here, don’t mind that. A little wait for the starters but the mains came out in good time. They do a vegan roast which is nice to see on the menu. Staff were polite & helpful. Cosy pub, big outside heated seated area & big car park. Lovely to have lunch & a good forest walk. They do accommodation too. In-between lymington and Brockenhurst & Sway is right there too. Worth a visit.

This place is another one of them hidden gems... Pictures say more than words but this place was beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean.I was greeted by 1 of the manager's ... He was really welcoming.My bedroom (room 1) was beautifully laid out with a huge walk in shower... (Photo's)The whole pub and bedrooms were really fresh and inviting.. (photo's)I really like how you can see into the kitchen from the seating area, you can see how clean the kitchen is and watch them prepare your meal 😋Throughout my stay both Shaun's were really attentive, I couldn't have asked for more...I would highly recommend staying here if in the area. 😎😎😎

Carefully selected The Filly for a 2 night break and wasn't disappointed. The venue has had a fortune spent on it's refurbishment and we couldn't fault it for comfort and attention to detail. Everything you can think you'll need is there and more. The food is good quality and cooked fresh to order. Even the real ale was top notch and I enjoyed a couple of smooth, crisp Timmy Taylors in the bar. Well done Sean and the Team, we felt spoilt. Thank you.

A beautiful pub out in the countryside. This is my first time visiting since they have created a separate dining area to the main pub and I was really impressed. I have yet to try the food as it was fully booked when I went on Sunday but watch this space

Came for Sunday lunch. Food was delicious, had roast beef which was served with all the trimmings, lovely big Yorkshire's, really nice roast parsnips and the meat was finely sliced and rare. Starters and portions were all delicious and good sized. Will definitely be coming back.

My food, pan fried fish, excellent. Others in party not so happy with their schnitzels. Our party were squeezed into seats. Just out of Covid rules yes, but far from satisfactory. Even without Covid I would not put up with this again. As a group not at all happy with seating arrangements. We booked well before Christmas. I will check their seating plan before committing in future. A great embarrassment for our event leader. Young waiting staff a delight. Easy parking, good position.
