We original travelled to Rosie Lea House for the well-present afternoon tea, but we ended up ordered Sunday roast because of the amazing smell in the restaurant.I know it sounds dramatic, but it is really the Best Roast I’ve ever had in the country!! I’m already thinking to go back next Sunday to have it again!!

Went in for their Sunday roast as a last day treat. We had the pork medallions on the bone. It was fantastic. It tasted original with the different veg and source and a fair portion. Take the walk around the public footpath to either walk it off or ro work up an appetite, the staff can advise on the route which transverse the pub. Plenty of parking on site and a good outdoor covered area. Around £25 a head including drinks . I recommend it .

We turned up at 2pm on Good Friday and was greeted by a rather grumpy waitress. We were told that they weren't taking walk-ins as they were too busy. So we asked if we could sit on one of the four empty benches as we had walked an hour. By about 3pm a friendly waitress came over and asked if we wanted anything, pretty much all the other tables had left by now. We mentioned to her that she may need to check with her colleague as she had already refused to serve us and we didn't want to upset her. She went to check and never came back, it was clear she'd been instructed not to serve us. It's a shame as we've been before and had many a nice lunches and drinks and usually the service is great. I've attached a photo demonstrating that by the time we had left, there were maybe only two tables there.

We wanted to find somewhere for lunch that offered vegan and gluten free.I had balsamic tomatoes, olives, pesto, vegan cream cheese on gluten free bread with fries, delicious. The pulled aubergine was a hit as well the beef sandwich.I then couldn't resist the gluten free chocolate cake, yum. The loaded brownie and carrot cake were devoured very quickly. The dogs enjoyed a lie down whilst we eat.The staff were lovely; polite and attentive.I would definitely recommend and I'm sure we'll go again when we are in the area.

Dropped by whilst on holiday. Great afternoon tea sat outside, enjoying the sunshine. Highly recommend the sausage roll, scotch egg and scones.

A very shaky start to our Sunday Lunch was sorted out without complaint and the roast beef we ended up with was excellent. The vegetables (especially the balsamic glazed carrots were superb. Dessert (particularly the cheesecake) topped the meal off wonderfully.

Lovely snack and drink. We had the fish finger sub and the roast beef sub with a glass of Prosecco and a latte. Very tasty. Nice friendly staff and a surprisingly peaceful setting considering the road it's on. Would thoroughly recommend.

Visited for brunch, was fairly busy outside but there was space to be seated inside. Staff ensure you checked in for COVID and they were all wearing masks. The food was really nice and the coffee was good. Staff were attentive and friendly, would definitely recommend a visit.
