The House Martin, Barton-on-Sea in New Forest

Family group on Saturday evening. The burgers were great as was the fish and chips.spotlessly clean,very nicely decorated, all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended

Had fish and chips. The fish tasted very oily.The oil in the fryer was past it's best and needed changing. It was busy and the service was slow some of our party had ordered the roast chicken which was served on the bone but they were not told this if they had they would not have ordered it.

Me and my friends have been coming here cot many years and it really is a solid pub. You can't really ask for much more. Great hospitality, a great selection of drinks and good food.

The worst roast I ever had! I do understand it is 5pm on a Sunday, but if you can't serve decent roast at this time then don't! Just don't serve me microwaved Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes with two teaspoons of gravy! Shocking!!!

It was brilliant, I expected a pub with beer and snacks and the vegan would get a packet of chips. It's a pub with beer and wine and all the normal things and all sorts of vegan/vegetarian foods. Nice people, good atmosphere and good prices. Excellent!

Staff very friendly and helpful, Sunday roast was superb, roast beef tender and vegetables cooked to perfection. Nut roast tasty and crunchy. Followed by a treacle tart for one and a lemon posset. Staff knowledgeable on wine and able to advise alternative as first choice not available, great glass of wine. Will return another Sunday.

The front of house staff here are second to none. They are so happy, bubbly and friendly. The food was amazingly tasty and prompt after ordering. The establishment is super cute, they have the history on the walls and it's open, bright and modern. Strong 9 out of 10.

Super evening in the House Martin. Came with our dog and they were super welcoming and dog friendly, found us a quiet table for the pup to be able to relax. Also brought a treat for her with the bill too! 🐾🐾

Very welcoming with nice food and service with a smile. I had a lovely, tasty burger with fries.

First trip out since Lockdown 2.0. The food was really delicious! It felt like Christmas having that Roast. 👌🏻 The Yorkshire’s are beaut and I love the Red Cabbage!! With the Turkey, Stuffing and Pig in Blanket, it was a winner. My husband loved his Burger and Triple Cooked Chips as well.And the Hoisin Chicken Wings were lush!!Thank you to all of the staff and our friend Brad Saunders for being superstars and making us feel welcome. The service is great!
